Hi, I'm new to the forums and noticed a problem in designer.
When I am designing in any theme, for some reason the sky stays a permanent dark grey that doesnt seem to change with lighting changes.
Yet when playtesting (created a random autogen hole to test this) it played normally with a standard clear sky. Regardless of version, has anyone else noticed this? Thanks.

UPDATE: this problem came from a game update on my Nintendo Switch. I updated the game yesterday, and this designer issue came up. Then I played earlier today and all the courses had this exact issue. For example, when playing Arctic Fury's lovely Sky Peaks Resort, usually the sky and course textures are a bit darker and greyer. But no matter what settings I play on (changing it from dawn to dusk and stuff like that), I still get the dark grey sky and beaming sunlight combination. I hope this is a bug on HBs part.

Exact same issue here since yesterday's update. Hope they fix it soon as I was having a lot of fun with the designer.

Yeah, the designer when it was added to the Switch version was the main reason I got the game. It's started really messing up playing courses as well, the lighting just defaults to some weird sunny grey sky thing. HB and indeed Nintendo need to have a look.

I saw a couple of posts on twitter that when 2K released their update, people were experiencing these stupid issues. I really dont know what is going on. Why have the developers not looked into this trash? Seriously annoyed.

One of those twitter posts might have been me! But it's definitely a problem caused by their latest update. I've also opened up a support ticket in an effort to bring it to their attention.

Nice, HB really need to listen to the people more. I'd love them to bring back the flyover from 2019, but this issue is a right old pain in the butt.

Took quite a few emails back and forth with customer service as you can probably imagine, but a full bug report has now been compiled and sent to the developers. Hopefully it will be fixed sooner rather than later.

I'm still working on my course in floodlit mode  Yes, Canuck's video's are excellent. Have you published any courses yet with the Switch? I find it's kinda slow compared to how it looks on PC, but I spend enough time at my desk as it is, and the handheld is great! |

I'm still working on my course in floodlit mode Yes, Canuck's video's are excellent. Have you published any courses yet with the Switch? I find it's kinda slow compared to how it looks on PC, but I spend enough time at my desk as it is, and the handheld is great! Not built anything yet. Would love to though, I have lots of ideas in mind. It is slow, and everything takes a little longer in Switch. Might try and get it for PC soon. |
