Hi All,
I'd like to get some feedback if others have experienced this kind of issue, and also if there are any tricks or tips to help alleviate the concern. I've created multiple LiDAR courses for Golf Club 2019 with no issues, however I've also created courses that experience crashing issues on the PS4. The worst in particular is the latest I am currently producing, which seems to crash every 2 or 3 holes. The object bar in the course creator was initially nearly full, however I have since removed a number of objects which reduced the object bar down. With that, I am still experiencing the course crashing on the PS4 (it seems to be less evident/frequent on the PS4 Pro, however crashing still occurs).
Has anyone experienced this on their Lidar courses, and found the potential cause/a way to resolve the issue?

I think this is just a PS4 issue when creating any course...I have had many crashes and blue-screen errors when designing courses in both TGC 2019 and PGA 2K21. I never have done a LiDAR course...and didn't think you could on a PS4??? Anyway, the error (which had a code of CE-34878-0) usually happened to me when multi-planting, or paging through the list of trees/bushes/grasses/etc. I opened a support ticket with 2K, and they said it was a Sony problem (even though these are the only games I ever had this issue with). First step to fix it was to clear your cache. If that didn't work, they recommended re-installing the game. If that still didn't work, you needed to rebuild your PS4 database. Here's how to do each - this was directly taken from the email 2K Support sent me: Clear cache - support.2k.com/hc/en-us/articles/204395718--PS4-Xbox-One-How-To-Clear-The-CacheUninstall a game - support.2k.com/hc/en-us/articles/213395768-How-To-Uninstall-A-Game-From-Your-ConsoleSteps to rebuild the PS4 database: Firstly, power off your console, using either the power button or by removing the power source. To turn on the PS4 into Safe mode, press and Hold down the power button on the front of the PS4, until the console beeps twice (once immediately, then another after a few seconds of holding) Connect your Dual Shock remote via USB cable. Press the PS button on the controller to pair devices. The console will now be in Safe Mode Go to option “5. Rebuild Database” and press X “The database will be rebuilt, it might take a few hours to rebuild the database” will be displayed, Select "OK". The screen will go blank whilst the Database is being rebuilt and this could take a few hours depending on the amount of saved content (you can leave it on and carry about your day while you wait) When the Rebuild has finished the console will return to the sign in screen.

When i first tried doing them to play on xbox i think its the size of the course file which crashes them on console..After a few tries found out on my old xbox around 5K course file worked best....once they went up to around the 8-10k mark issue's started to arrive maybe play one round then it crashes when playing again etc.I found on some courses the bar would be 1/3 away across but on some be a bigger course file than say others about 50% across.

Thanks guys for the feedback! To be honest it does seem a bit random, as I've had success playing courses I've created with high object counts, and large course files/areas, but then I've had issues with others. It would be nice to see if there is anything in particular that's a driver for crashes.
I tried clearing the cache earlier this week, and I'm going to attempt to re-install the game and/or rebuilding the database to see if that has any success. I'll report back to help us narrow it down!

I am curious about how you can design a Lidar course on PS4 or XBox. I thought you needed to use Chad's Tool and that only worked on a PC, so I am interest in finding out how it is done on a console.

You are correct, I've created all of the courses on the PC. This is only when loading up the courses on the PS4.

My poor grammar there meant to say,i designed a few on PC to play on xbox just to check the course file size....sorry.
