Is there a reason the extending texture isn't solid? From what I see the ball falls through the retaining wall texture and your golfer disappears below it to the actual texture below.
I was hoping that you could use the retaining walls around greens - have the fairway roll off green to retaining wall - so that the ball would roll off fairway and along retaining wall extending texture then over wall and into water. Maybe something you guys could try to experiment with?

What I think you are saying though is that the walls are purely aesthetical and the ball doesn't interact with them as they should?? Can the retainer be put under the land slightly or is it still a matter of making a verticalish slope and butting a retainer against it or can you have a slope of some kind and grab a retainer and just move it onto a slope and set your base and height for a certain wall

Basically there is a thin layer of texture that sticks out 90 degrees from the retaining wall and takes on the appearance of the underlying texture. But it's not solid, so you have to raise the terrain underneath it to match the same height. Otherwise, the ball actually is below the visible texture.

I did some more playing with this today and it seems the surface does actually play solid unless you get the ball right next to the retaining wall. I seem to get mixed results.

Would think that the case of the ball next to the wall would have been play tested....
