My name is Miguel Angel, I'm 35 years old from Colombia (yeah, the country in South America... not Columbia). Proud father of two beautiful girls, husband to Mariana and new to TGCTours. A couple of months ago I was searching for a console because since PS1 I never bought any other. I used to play on my friend's PS3 and my sister's XBox 360 some golf games, and loved the TW games. I haven't played any of the previous "The golf Club" golf games but read a lot on the internet about them and realized they were good. Then I started searching for reviews and people playing the game, and found out there were pretty good streamers on YT and Twitch, I personally fell in love with the game watching Crazycanuck1985 designing, @respawn playing weekly events, seamount4life drinking all the alcohol there was in the country, and some others that I found because they mentioned them or just by chance, like I found @himo on Twitch... One of my favourites!
Anyways, I decided to buy an XBox console (I know, should've bought the PS4 if I wanted lower scores lol), just because there were many more options for the girls at home to choose from (IMO), and ended up buying (preordered) my first game since FIFA World Cup for PS1 (back in 1999 maybe): PGA TOUR 2K21! I was so exited I couldn't even sleep the night before... And watched almost all the downloading process the day it came live.
Since day 1 I began exploring every part of the game and I'm certain it is the best video game I've ever played. I wanted the TGCTours season to start so badly, I practiced and joined a couple of societies which I've found very interesting and fun, like Canuck's designer society and Mcdaiboys PGA Tour. But nothing compares to the excitement this Tour generates, it feels like I'm trying to reach the PGA Tour IRL...
I had a goal to reach the Kinect Tour (I know, pretty bold for being my first season), but managed to score a final round 79 on Evangelist to fall into CCA. It's been a great journey and I'm so glad I found this game, this Tour and all the people that have helped me fall in love with it and had given me advice on how to approach this new path. I hope I can make it to the pro tours soon!
That's it for now, lets see how this first season treats me...

Well, first event on tour, first cut made!!! Yeah baby, we're on!! Season 7 kicked off and I made the first cut! Not only that, after 3 rounds I'm sitting T8 and the best is yet to come (I hope) since I shot a final round of.... Wait for it... 62 (-10). Best score for a round so far on this settings. I'm hoping maybe for a top 5 and my first promotion mark. Let's see how it goes since tonight, scores for final round should be published. Later tonight I'll join the CUCC society, I'm so glad I found this group of nuts (sorry, nice) people and can't wait for the next season to kick off (long way to go yet since they're in the middle of the current season). Thank you Chief Banks and Giraffe72 for your warm welcome!

Ok, week 1 in the books, final round 62 (-10) paid off and finished T2, just one stroke behind the leader. I had a blast playing my rounds, even felt quite nervous the first two rounds, but got the best out of my game to finish strong on a fair course off the tee, wide greens and fws, but lots of undulations and platoes on the greens.
That T2 finish got me my first two promotion marks, now one more and I'll get promoted to Kinect tour. But a missed cut will erase one of those marks... Lets see what week 2 has in store for me...
I changed my clubs recently just to fill the gaps I had between my 3 wood and 4 iron, which were 245 and 179 respectively, only with a 215yds 3 iron in between. Now I have a 3 hybrid that goes 222 and 3 iron 199, then my usual 179yds 4 iron. I had to give up my 8 iron, leaving an 18 yd gap between 7 iron and 9 iron, but I think with lofting and partial shots I can manage to play those shots easier with more forgiving irons compared to those long irons.

Alright, week 2 (or should I say 4?) finished last Saturday. The Clapper Classic at Ayrshire Gailes, Tour gave us a lot less eagle and birdie opportunities compared to last week's course. Tighter fairways and narrower greens made it difficult to go too low, but the greens didn't have as many undulations, though.
After making the cut at -11 (cutline was -10), I played better the last two rounds with tougher conditions, which made me move up the leaderboard to finish T42 (-21). I'm happy with my result, but this time no promotion/demotion marks.
Next week is supposed to be different. A course where you should find lots of FW in oder to have a chance for birdie. Tight landing areas but easier greens should favor a different strategy compared with previous weeks. Can't wait to play my rounds on tuesday or wednesday, let's se how this one goes. Goal: make the cut and finish inside the top 15% to get our promotion to Kinect Tour!

Thankfully The Cracked Open at Tasoto Golf Club is over! The course doesn't particularly suit my game and I was struggling early on round 1, after 3 birdies on my first 4 holes, everything started to go rollercoaster: 5 bogeys and 5 birdies later, I was 3 under at the end of the round. I don't know why I kept overreading the breaks and smashing putts through them. I played round 2 right after round 1 and somehow made more putts (23 total, compared to 27 in round 1). A bogey-free 65 put my -10, almost certain to be my 3rd consecutive cut made.
In the last two rounds I was trying to get myself in the top 25 just to get my third promotion mark, but the conditions were tough, as pins for round 4 were always near or on slopes, and winds were picking up. Ended up shooting 68-67 on the weekend to finish -19 total and (as of now) sitting at T58.
I hope next week Cardinal Pines Golf Club treats me better, see you there!

Hello again, another week of TGCTours and another cut made! 4/4! Yey! Well, almost! This time I made the cut on the number! -13 on that course that was playing fairly easy was just enough. The guy that won was literally -18 after round 1!! -50 for the whole 4 rounds.
The best of this week was a final round 60 (-12), that propelled me from 80th place (or so) to a T53. I really liked the course, It suited my game nicely but struggled on the greens and missed a lot of GIR.
On other news, I keep dropping on the world rankings, now I'm 703rd, I really don't care much, but going up should be nice, I guess I need to finish in the top 10 or 25 in order to improve.
My goal for this week is the same, finish inside the top 20 or something to get my third promotion mark and move up to the pro circuits... But first, lets try to make the cut, currently at 6 under (most probably will be around 7 or 8 under) at Acadia Club: I've played just one practice round and I feel this course can give some low scores but also some really high ones (bunch of penalty areas and OB)...
We'll see what happens, untill next week!

I knew it! Very scoreable course: I ended up with 2 eagles and 20 birdies (missing a lot of birdie opportunities), but as I mentioned a couple of days ago, if you missed in the wrong spots you could get into some trouble easily, well, I ended up OB/penalty area like 6 times, 5 bogeys and 4 doubles ended my chances of a good week. Fortunately, I made the cut at -8 (the cut was -6), but the final round kicked my but real hard! 76 was my worst final round so far...
This is Masters Week, which means I'll be playing tha Platinum event too just because of the course! But the goal for this week for CCA, on a course (Bandemere GC) that plays short (6.800 yds aprox) and a par 70, will be the same, make the cut and try to finish strong for a top 20 or so that gets me my final promotion mark to get to the pro tours. Early scores indicate there are many birdies (or better) opportunities, but like last week, lots of OB and penalty areas await... I'm going to change my strategy a bit, playing late just to see how the cutline moves, I'll play with a live goast just to try to imitate the score. Let's see if it pays off

Ok, two weeks to forget... 2 missed cuts, and this week I'm getting 2 demotion marks, which means I'll start next week with 1 red dot beside my name... Every week I seem to score worse and worse. We'll see what happens next. Right now I really don't think this is in my hands...

We'll see what happens next. Right now I really don't think this is in my hands... 3 days afterI wrote this, I shoot an opening round of 58 (-14)!! I played 3 practice rounds on saturday and played my first two rounds on sunday and the practice paid off. This is a really nice course that suits my eye very well. Right now I'm 21 under and pretty sure making the cut, lets hope I finish strong and erase those 2 demo marks that look terrible beside my name! LFG
