Figure I'd get the judges and my fellow designer competitors up to speed on who I am and what I've been working on. My name is xShadowMario128x on PS4 and on Nintendo Switch I am SM128 which is where the contest comes in. I got TGC2019 last year and it took me over a year to complete my first course: Angelpup GC (Screenshots Below). Angelpup was approved for TGCTours a year ago and while it has never hosted a tournament, it still received a small but proud number of over 150 plays on TGC2019. I have been excited for PGA Tour 2k21 for quite sometime and the only reason I have it on PS4 was to upload my courses I was working on into the game with new updates. Anyway I finally have a physical copy of the Switch version, which while graphically is less than desirable compared to PS4 I will be bringing photos and designing of my WIP for the Rookie Design Contest hopefully using Switch. Eventually they will be up but I will provide a little background on what I hope to do for contest. My goal is to actually have two courses on one plot, which I am thankful to say is possible not just because of the guys who designed Whiskey Resort (A Brilliant Course set I might add). But while I work on designing both courses with one as an entry for the Rookie Design Contest, I hope all who see this thread can spend some time playing my first course Angelpup GC to see what I will bring to the table. If the judge/judges have any concerns with my idea for the contest, please let me know and I will make appropriate changes. Enjoy your round at Angelpup if interested and I will follow-up on updates on my Rookie Design Contest Project: Blitzgres (Blitz,Grey) Golf Complex (Blue and Green Courses).

Well it will take me a while to complete this course on Switch even though I currently have 8 holes done, with little planting done. These are my first four holes. Sadly Switch isn't as easy to edit photos like PS4 with Sharefactory but still love Nintendo just not HB's work with the Switch version. BTW imagine the backdrops actually have trees and I apologize if quality isn't that great. Anyway these are the four four holes of Blitzgres Green Golf Course. I have four more holes currently made as well though planting I'm still trying to figure out. The course will also have a sister course in the future in Blitzgres Blue Course. The plot is perfect for it. I will keep you all posted. I also am excited to see that my fellow design competitors are coming along great too. 1. Par 4 434 Yds 2. Par 3 186 Yds 3. Par 5 551 Yds 4. Par 3 232 Yds

Update: I will be posting pictures after this weekend (after work Sunday). Got an update for the Switch and I feel each time it does an update it takes something away. Now with the sky in the designer it's just gray so I can't the lighting. Please take this into account if this issue doesn't clear up. smh

Update: Obviously I need to plant a lot more, set more rough up and finish the pathways. I've been unfortunately busy with work and my family life (not what a lot of you guys do as parents) but these courses will be done by the 12/31 deadline and hopefully a beta will be released sooner. I know that PC,XBOX, and PS4 players will obviously look a lot better than the game is on Switch. However, being able to carry it around and design is really cool. Let me know what you guys think so far. I will be posting more hopefully throughout the week. Hole 1 441 Yds: The opening hole at the Green Course at Blitzgres Golf Park establishes a clear course motif. Fairways are consistently narrow but not unfair. Two bunkers pinch the fairway about 250 Yds of the back tee. The unique green is tightly trapped with two large bunkers and slopes left to right especially in the middle of the green. Hole 2 186 Yds The first par 3 plays back to the clubhouse and has two bunkers in front. The first is an A.W. Tillinghast inspired bunker in front. It's not in play and serves as aesthetics to the hole. The green slopes right to left and is two tiered with the slope dropping down to the left in the middle of the green. Hole 3 551 Yds: Playing this par 5 requires players to hit over a scrubland bunker and requires a drive of at least 260 yards to clear for players wanting to reach this green in 2. The pan handle shaped green has a set of cross bunkers in front and a small, medium, and large bunker in the back right, front right, and all to the left. Hole 4 232 Yds: The longest par 3 on the course might be my favorite par 3 on the course. Modeled slightly after the famous 10th hole at Winged Foot West with four bunkers right in front of the green. The bailout fairway in front is for those not willing to try to hit his this green. The green is perched on top of a hill and missing long creates a difficult up and down next to the fencing in the back. Hole 5 399 Yds: The 5th hole is the shortest par 4 on the outward 9, and has bunkers that come in 3's. 3 bunkers pinch the fairway about 270 off the back tees and the green is surrounded by three larger bunkers demanding accuracy on the 2nd shot. Hole 6: The first look of water on the course, the long dogleg par 4 sixth might be my favorite on the course. There are no fairway bunkers in play off the tee, but the rough is deep and punishing for those that miss the fairway. While it may have the largest fairway on the course (in the future), hitting less than driver is the wise option to avoid trees on the right on the approach to the green. The green is elevated and surround by deep bunkers. This hole is expected to be the top 5 in handicap. Hole 7 512 Yds: The longest par 4 on the course has a fairway bunker that turns it the right. While the hole looks like it has 2 greens the green is to the left and is reached over two deep bunkers. The par 3 8th is the shortest on the course with a green surrounded by bunkers including one that is cleverly hidden behind a hill front right. Is is known as the peek-a-boo bunker. Hole 9 466 Yds: The 9th is a basic long par 4 with another fairway pinch with bunkers about 265 Yds out. Another green that is perched on a hill and is surrounded by more deep bunkers.

Really looking forward to seeing what you're able to come up with on Switch. So are you saying that you don't have the ability to adjust the weather/lighting anymore?

mctrees02 yep that's exactly it. I know that it looks better on PC, XBOX, and PS4 but being able to design in the palm of my hand and carry it around is great. The only problem I have is how slow it is when placing objects. I probably will get PC the next installment unless HB makes it better for ALL the systems they sell the game to.

There is a post I recently put on a thread from ErixonStone saying I did not meet the deadline to complete this course due to numerous reasons. Nonetheless I still will put complete the courses and put them both up for play hopefully by Thursday January 7th. I will create a new thread showing the progress and there will be photos on twitter. Follow @smario128 on twitter. Sadly it just couldn’t be done and I feel awful that I couldn’t get it done. But with the reasons I mentioned in my other post (taking care of my dad, extra work, and my Switch crashing before I could save) I needed more time. Oh well I hopefully will be back in another contest but will still keep designing though after Blitzgres, I will not be making them on Switch anymore unless Nintendo gives it a major update. Also I’m not happy with myself or HB studios at the moment. Oh well good luck to all competitors who got their courses done within the deadline, they look amazing by the way.
