The weather report for the Beer League says white tees then all black. However the tees continue to be all white tees. Because of this I hit the ball over the green into the water TWICE on the short par four with water behind before I realized the round was still on white tees. I had practiced with the black tees and had no reason to look at what the tees were again based on the weather report. I am now +13 through two rounds instead of +5 because of this error. If I were you I would void cuts in the tournament now because of this error.

Hopefully someone who volunteers their time to keep this site running from week to week gets a pay cut over this horrific atrocity. Or at least teaches you how to zoom into the landing area before you take your shot so you don't blindly clear the green. I'm also pretty sure there is no one that works behind the scenes here that does what you could call one job.

Come on lads he deserves our sympathy, we all know how tough it is to look at the green before hitting our tee shot. Funniest thing is he hit long TWICE on the same hole.

You're supposed to be +5? That's some skill right there. You must have a Ph.D. in statistics and probability to be +13 but yet somehow theorize that your score should be 8 strokes less. The algorithm alone must be 3GB of code.

I had questioned the OP's logic on the Beer League thread (politely) and he provided his rationale. I don't agree with it, but to each his own. BTW, he did make the cut for the event and was able to finish out. I believe that the hole in question, that he overshot into the water was a drivable par 4. Based on the wind conditions you could indeed drive it with a partial swing at 95 percent power which I was able to do with various degrees of success. Regarding the tee locations, if it was true (I was not paying attention) that round two stayed on the white tees vs. black tees, then this had no negative effect for the rest of the players based on the scores being shot...one way or the other.

Might help to look at the distance to the pin and base your club or shot selection on that rather than what tees you're hitting from.
