Above the cut line, then below the cut line, then above...then cut with extreme prejudice...red mark to remove my green. So if you have a green and miss the cut you automatically get a red? Wasn't aware of that, not complaining or anything.
I wasted my hole in one on this event lol.
Good shooting to those above. Good luck to you guys for the rest of week.

Yup I noticed this a few weeks ago. You have to make cuts to retain your promo marks. Similarly if you have a demo mark all you have to do is make a cut to get rid of it.

Started the third round missing a 3 foot par. Put a 22 foot birdie putt on 3 28 feet long but managed to make that putt. Lots of slow downswings and I missed a bunch of makeable mid range putts. Slow downswing on 14 and it took me 3 more shots just to get on the green. Lipped out a 29 foot birdie on 17 and ended up only at -3 for the round.
Bogeyed 1 in the fourth round again after hitting 2 bunkers and missing a 12 footer. Missed a 10 foot birdie on 5 and 3 putted from 22 feet on 6, missing an 8 foot par. Missed an easy 12 foot birdie on 7. Lipped out a 6 foot par on 15 and missed a 10 foot par on 17. Finished at -2 for the round, -20 for the tournament. Probably should have just kept playing last night.

Fourth round was a struggle but happy to be in the tournament after just sliding in after two. Went the wrong way to par and happy it’s over. Well done to the top guys. You lads are awesome.

Yikes. I completely ejected the last 2 rounds. I should have stopped playing but I let the madness snowball...

Well after going -6, -5, -5 I was excited that I was inline for a promo mark. So I decided to go ahead and fire a rock solid E 4th round to finish at -16. On to the next!

I played early this morning and with a buddy who’s also in the cubed. It was windy as promised 13-15 most of the round and for those still practicing it was out of the East. Greens were 163 I think. This is an incredible course design. Long and tough as nails if you are not hitting it straight off the tee. Lots of cliffs and depressions which by using the 267 TaylorMade I managed to avoid. My buddy was not so lucky with the 280 TaylorMade so take that for what it’s worth. I made three putts over 20’ and missed a few short ones. Only one bogey. All in all very happy with a -7 start. Good luck to all the lads this week. Maybe it’s going to be a bit easier cut with 5 or more of last weeks leaders gone up to B. We will see.

There is no doubting the genius of AF's designs, he's one of if not THE best. But this is the Challenge Circuit. Many people are really struggling with this game. To have a course with so much danger about and so few bail out areas and then yet again set the wind to high, in my opinion is really poor scheduling for these levels. Unless your aim is to cut down on numbers by driving people away? In which case, good job 👍
Honestly, I've played these tours for almost five years, week in, week out. I've never been one to overly moan about Xbox tempo or course selections, I just try and enjoy my rounds and the challenge of this game, and always appreciate the fine work by our design community. Maybe have a bit of banter here and there, all good fun. For the first time I'm really starting to question what I'm doing with my limited free time.

Really loved this golf course. Absolutely beautiful.
After a week away from the game I returned to savage winds on the first tee. I have to say I didn’t have high hopes for a good round.
Made a good birdie on the first - confidence is high.
Second hole Par 5.. don’t go left, don’t go left, don’t go left. So I went left....... but luckily didn’t drop down the cliff. The long weeds saved me. A par that could have easily been a 7.
I saw that as a huge let off and played the rest of the round reasonably sensibly. Solid -2 front nine with no bogies. Back 9 was a birdie/bogey fest.
-4 to start the week. I’ll play round 2 shortly and aim to make the cut.

That is one of the most disappointing things I’ve heard in some time (& remember, I’m Scottish & we just lost Sean Connery) Since I first found TGC then got involved with the forums & community you were one of the guys that were instrumental in my becoming so enthusiastic about this game. From your early running of competitions including a video draw 😂 you’ve always been heavily involved around these forums and one of the first in with a bit of banter or , when required, a bit of encouragement or advice. It would be a real shame if you felt you could no longer continue mate. I understand the frustration & can only hope you manage to find a positive way forward. Apologies if I come across like some sort of sychophantic weirdo but couldn’t let it pass without comment. Cheers man ! 👍🏻

The first round was definitely difficult given the course. As long as they have variety, I am good.

4 rounds in for this week. Having watched a couple of guys , in particular, Jim Gem on YouTube, I think I let the course get in my head a bit on the 1st round. Plodding away quite comfortably on -6 with 3 to go I came to 16 and the split fairway. Deciding to go right but aiming to the right of the fairway as I’d been slight fasts for virtually my whole round , of course , I hit my first slow of the day with the inevitable splash in the drink , then dropped without looking - behind a tree - leading to a very well scrambled bogey. Now even more tensed up than usual (I’ve no idea why I always do this on TGCTours) I almost messed up the par 3 17th & finally succumbed to my own pressure with a double on 18 for a pretty disappointing -3. 2nd round I was slightly calmer except for a bogey on my old favourite 16 but a -7 gave me -10 halfway. 3&4 were steady and fairly uneventful with a bogey towards the end of the final round (can’t remember which but NOT 16 this time) -7 & -6 for a -23 total. Would be nice if I get the promo mark I need but I feel it’s unlikely looking at the halfway scores so far. GL all , enjoy !

Nice shooting ewanh1, and thanks
I still haven't played round 2. In fact I haven't played any rounds for a couple of days. I left all my toys scattered about the room and played something else. Maid of Sker actually, which was free on Xbox Gold, got a bit of a creepy Bioshock feel to it. Anyway, I digress...
At some point tonight or tomorrow I will tidy up all my toys and put them back where they are supposed to go, and have a go at shooting the -4 or so I need to avoid a demotion strike. I'm not filled with confidence but I get two for not finishing so it's not like I've got anything to lose. Well, apart from my sanity at least. What I will mainly focus on is enjoying another chance to play an Arctic Fury course, whatever the score.
My problem with using this course for these tours probably stems more from the difficulty of the Masters tempo on Xbox than with the course itself. When you play on Xbox you have to get fairly adept at scrambling. It's pretty difficult to scramble from 150 feet down a ravine! There's just no escape, and I think that punishment coupled with the conditions equalled a massive sense of humour failure. I've given myself a good talking to and reminded myself it's just a pretend golf game!

This version of the game Jamie , as you’re well aware , is far more of a mind f**k than any of the previous by a chasm (try & stay out it mate😁) My own game is only now starting to come back to some sort of decent level mainly because most of the guys I play with online have chucked it , so I can concentrate which I’ve found is the only way to progress with any level of consistency after the culture shock of falling 5 divisions. Even at that I think I was lucky if I hit 5 perfects over the whole 4 rounds. Good luck with round 2 sir & I’ll see you again next week. 👍🏻
