I made another cut this week! I've made all but the first cut of the season. A few have been on the number, but I end up each week right in the middle of the pack. 32nd so far this week. My last round? a 63! and i hit 11 bunkers! what a mess... On to next week!

Want some extra competition in the form of team play? The Dirtbag league is gauging interest on whether to add two teams to our great competition. We need 8 players to make this happen. It is fun, does not require extra rounds as we play the CC schedule each week. Check out our Dirtbags season 2 thread to see what we are about if interested.

The game is trolling me, I swear! Played the first round last night. Awful! No tempo, 4 putted the first, 33% GIR, it was horrible. 74 +2 Knew I needed a pretty special second round. And I was having one! An unfortunate lip out cost be a bogey at 5 but generally I played really well and got it to -9 thru 14, -7 for the tournament. Made the mistake of checking the Leaderboard at that point, -7 looks safe! Two pars and then a bogey bogey finish 74 65 for -5 at the cut. It's the right side of it at the moment but I can't see it staying that way. Oh well, no damage done, that's a positive. Really just hanging on for the Series X at the moment in the hopes it improves my gameplay a little. Nice course, good luck all!

TGCT Challenge Circuit Soccer League
Add a bit of spice to your Challenge Circuit rounds each week. Play as your favourite soccer team and qualify for the equivalent of the Champions League or Europa Cup. Nothing much required beyond playing your normal rounds each week, reporting your scores and engaging in a bit of good-natured soccer/pixel golf related banter. Already major clubs such as Ajax and Celtic are in as well as minnows such as East Fife and Herne Bay FC.
Worried that you won't be competitive? A crack team of mathematicians recruited from the finest universities in China have developed a balance system so whether you are in CC-A trying for the pro tours or striving for the cut in CC-L you will have a chance.
If you have an allegiance to a club, a CC Tour card and a sense of humour and would be interested, message me.

Made the cut with ease, played like a choking dog on the weekend. Another fine purgatory-worthy performance brought to you by The Vandelay Way!
Onward!

A bit better from me this week, happily. A pair of 66's to sit -12 at the cut. I was pleased with the first one but felt like I let a good round get away from me in the second. Should make the cut though. Another good course selection, I'm looking forward to two more rounds on it, hoping the green speeds go up a notch!
Feel like I'm in a better place with this game at the moment. Not playing the current promotion event but if I can maintain some consistency over the next few weeks I might play the next one. Good luck all!

Sitting one shot worse at the cut Jamie Giraffe72 and it could have been a marriage: Better or Worse. Played like a moron at times on the 2nd round, guess I am lucky to have that score. Onward.

Third round 70. Got off to a bad start by trying to cut that corner with the wind, not my best choice! Hit a fast into the cabbage and hacked my way up the left hand side. To be fair a decent up and down for bogey wasn't a bad result after all that. I gave my head a wobble and didn't play badly from there, I thought it played pretty tough from those tees. A couple more bogeys took the wind out of my sails a bit, but overall, -14 thru 3 isn't a bad place to be. Onwards!

And I did start out in D before I ripped my card up in a tantrum!! Trouble is with H is I make the cut comfortably but show no signs of ever getting out of there so perhaps that is exactly where I should be. -12 at the cut but I also found Round 3 a struggle....-13 after 3 and heading for mid table mediocrity again.....just dreaming of getting up with you posh boys.... Onward!

Onward! That can't be far off promotion mark pace in H Ben? Hard to say with the leaderboards not updating. It's why I'm not playing the promo events. I accidentally got to Euro the last time and had a miserable time! This season I made 2/10 cuts in C when I was at a bit of a low ebb with this game, but that's now 3/5 here and I should have made it last week but for being a bonehead. Last thing I want to do is promote above my level again! I'll decide on each promo event individually, but at the moment I'm thinking if I'm going to get promoted I'd quite like to achieve it the old fashioned way. Nice to see you back in these tours

Nice to see you back in these tours I struggled to a 1 under in Round 4 Jamie so won't be anywhere near. I need to spread my rounds out a bit but I'm impatient and tend to crack on with them. On Sunday I played 19 PC and 2 XB1 competitive rounds. Too much in one day. Then I sit all week twiddling my thumbs!! Had a go at the Promo because I'd like to get up 1 or 2 divisions but doubt my -13 will cut it. Wish I'd never left really but got caught on a wave and couldn't get off. Back under my own terms now and it feels much better.

SkyBlueBen 21 rounds in a day?! Most I can do in one sitting is 2, maybe 3 at a push before my concentration starts to go. I took a step back in December, this game gets in your head sometimes. I'm still only really playing TGCT rounds plus Friday night alt shot but I have found the enjoyment has come back. Going to get back in to CUCC for their next season. Next time just put the game down for a week or two!

I was going to try and get involved in a few XB groups but joined one and finding the switching between systems problematic so will be sticking to PC. Agree about the concentration and exactly why I should make more of an attempt to pace myself over the week!! Don't want to be losing to Bristol City because my players are getting leggy

Another disappointing finish after a decent start. These 144's are never my favourite green speeds but I'd actually putted ok through the first 3 rounds. Completely lost it in the 4th! Pushing, pulling, hitting them too hard, and once it goes it's very hard to get it back again. Highlights (lowlights) were a 4 putt double early on, and after I'd hit a beauty of a lofted 6 iron with a bit of shape against the wind into the tough pin on 16 to 8 feet, a 3 putt bogey. Shame because my game overall this week was probably the best I've played all season.
66, 66, 70, 72 for a -14 finish.
Definitely reaffirmed my decision not to play the promo event this week!
