I just spent some time on the practice putting green and I turned on the distance meter for the first time in ages. Maybe it's just because I haven't had it on for a long time but the white tempo area seems a lot small than I ever remember it being. Which maybe explains why I've been smashing everything way past the hole recently. Even with the rumble on, I figured out it's time for me to start aiming short and playing the fast putt lol.

Something different with putting on Xbox on my end. It's stuck in mud. Very odd. Also got some reports of bad fps drops and one guy said he finished 1 round society and it restarted him ghosting himself. 😲 I had issues with my putting today as well. You said it perfectly, felt like my putter was stuck in mud. I came on here to check to see if others were having issues. Glad I'm not the only one. It feels like a better tempo, however it threw me off a bit since I'm used to putting the way it's been since release. |

I was thinking the same thing about the tempo. Seemed less twitchy. Something is up though.

Watching Respawns stream about fasts. Tends to not like it and like most people he wishes folk would play for perfects and might get a few fasts or slow mixed in.
Agree with him but wonder if he's played on xbox much. :-)

I’ve not played yet so can’t be sure but I just think any slight deviation from your normal swing or putting stroke can change everything completely and it’s just so sensitive. I’ve had times where I thought something had changed with the putting but then spent a while practising and everything was normal and it was just me. Even going so far as how much of my thumb is on the stick and what angle the controller is at and if it’s not right then the putting is right off.
I’ll say again I’ve not played today so you could be right but any slight difference can mean a lot.

Well they did the few changes last time without one. PS putting and the other list. So possibly. How about fixing the Atl-shot crashing issues, the skins crashing issues, the society issues, stats........ I sound like a broken record. |

I don't think anything has changed . They would notify if they did , wouldn't they :-).
His video was good and to me I feel they may do something but xbox is a different beast when it comes to getting perfects as the Q School leaderboard showed.
Imagine how many players would use fasts if all consoles played the same.

The putting has changed, there is no doubt. Takeaway speed is much slower making for a very different feel. My first impressions are that putting is going to be easier now, at least in terms of hitting the right pace. We'll see if things return to how they were or if this is a permanent thing.

Agreed, putting is very different now. My instinct is also that this makes it easier. On longer putts the animation speeds up, and on tap ins the animation is soooo slow. This is essentially distance control assist for putting. If you put the putter to max intent, putting is back to the speed it was. Wish this was a difficulty setting that we could turn on and off but I see no new setting. |

Haven't had a chance to get on yet, but I am really skeptical the change is an improvement over old gameplay. Out of all the things to change that made the top of the list over at HB? strange... I think the difficulty may have been perfect with PRO swing & no haptic on shots, but from the scores on other consoles tempo is clearly MUCH different & thus low scores with master swing... I am still getting used to what is a good score in this new game. right around top 25 after 2 rounds on Elite @ -10 & I thought I might miss the cut..
