The random glitched out/frame skipping backswing is 100% in my head when putting. I'm basically afraid to putt because I'm bracing for it to happen and I have no idea when it will strike. They really need to fix this issue, I'm about to take to Twitter and other avenues. Playing on the Series X has been a joy aside from that so it's a real shame. I know what you mean about it getting in your head. I've had it happen three times today in competitive play where it glitches on me in such a way that I flub the putt about 2 inches (see example in previous video). It is starting to get really annoying.

Those videos clearly show it.
Not good at all that.

Appreciate the technical aspects regarding the new Xbox, but I'll keep with the old. Swing tempo much improved (new hidden update?) but as always good tempo does not always equal good execution. If I sorta suck with the old console, I have an equal chance at sucking with the new so I'll save my money for the time being.
I only play the game for the event rounds. Limit practice rounds to only one leading up to the event. All the hours of practice prior to an event is a waste of time...for me anyways. No return on investment and usually max saturation of playing pleasure. Based on past experience I'm only good for two event rounds then "miss cut city" and packing the clubs in the car trunk and hauling ass off the property. I still enjoy playing the rounds, but I'm also going back to my other hobby model railroading. I can tackle both for the time being.
Anyways, keep up the struggle fellow Xboxers!

I captured an example of the putting glitch and a couple of examples of the backswing glitch on Series S and compiled them into one video below. As you can imagine, the putting one brought forth some choice words on my part! Thanks for producing and publishing that video coggin66. It captures all of the reports I've read about the phenomena. I just hope that HB Studios is on their way to a fix for it. Here XBox Series X owners are expecting a better experience with this impressive new hardware, yet they're being subjected to a close to gamebreaking animation bug. And here I was expecting to possibly be able to play the XBox One version of 2K21 at 60 FPS on the Series X

My new Xbox is supposed to come on Thursday and now I'm wondering if I'll even be setting it up... I really hope we hear some positive news that this has been fixed. I tried feverishly to pre-order a Series X, and have steadily been on it since release day to no avail. However, once I learned that not only has PGA TOUR 2K21 has not been freed from its 30 FPS frame rate lock for the Series X, it can't even execute the game consistently in bog standard stock backward compatibility mode due to the swing animation frame skipping it too frequently encounters. The ladder seems like something they'll be able to fix in a patch, but I just have this sinking feeling that they have no intentions of providing a path to 60 FPS for Series X owners, via a vsync unlock or vsync 60 Hz option, and this is a total head-scratcher to me ladies and gentlemen! The net positive from all of this is that it's taken a lot of the sap out of my ambition to buy a Series X, as 2K21 at 60 FPS, with load times of 1/5th of the One X was my primary reason to buy one. I'm not a first person shooter gamer so the current lineup of AAA games are mostly lost on me. I do want to see the Forza 7, Forza Horizon 4, Project Cars Racing, and even performance of TGC 2019 (I'm not expecting anything above 30 FPS, but I'm curious to see how the more efficient reading of controller inputs on the Series X helps it). The only next-gen sports game that has my curiosity up right now is NBA 2K21. I'm hearing the Series X version really stands out. I'd grown weary of the NBA series since 2K17 because they'd gotten so mired in lengthy animation strings that took too much of the control away from me. I'm hearing lots of praise for NBA 2K21 on the Series X, and how it doesn't get lost in the long ani sequences, so that would be on my wish list come January, when I develop an solid interest in basketball again.

Must clarify.
Not important but I'm not a big gamer.
I have this , Red Dead 2 and Civ 6.
Yes I've downloaded few others on unlimited pass but got quickly bored.
More strategy man but my laptop is low grade.
Can't see me buying series x or PS5 soon.

More strategy man but my laptop is low grade. Can't see me buying series x or PS5 soon. I don't think Red Dead 2 got much of a bump in backward compatibility mode. It's still running at 30 FPS, which is probably adequate for a game of its type. It already looks fantastic on the One X. I bet the 4 to 5 times quicker load times will be welcomed by gamers though. I've never tried Civ 6. I finally just posted a straight to the point question to HB Studios in the General section of their forum, asking whether 60 FPS support for 2K21 was in the plans for the PS5 and XBox Series X. Sadly, I'll be surprised if they answer it, let alone give me the answer I want to hear. Here's a link to the thread: 60 FPS support for XBox Series X and PS5

I got through my 4 rounds for the tours without the glitch, thankfully, but I can confirm that it's still not fixed and has happened to me multiple times since then. This really is ridiculous, it's been over a week and it's making the game unplayable. Real shame because I do love playing.

I played the game on my PC last night first time for about a fortnight and what a difference game play is at 60 fps. It’s a totally different feeling game on PC than Xbox. Wow didn't realize that it was limited to 30fps until you just said it. Hmmmm well maybe they'll look at it.

To the designers out there... I'm not one but I've messed around a few times and I can tell you its wayyyyy faster on the Series X when compared to my XB1. I don't have a PC to compare it to, but I've watched a few of Canuck's videos and I'd say the speed is comparable or even equal to what I saw in his videos. That's a huge win for the community. Might spring up some new designers out there. That's great to hear. I really hope that there is a big improvement in gameplay too though. I hate to moan, I really do, but I have to get something off my chest. I'm massively frustrated with the game lately and was wondering has anyone else been struggling like me in the last couple weeks or so. I've long since reached lvl 100, so I've played the game quite a bit at this stage. I had reached a certain standard of play and very quickly went from cc-d to cc-b on tour and with 2 promo marks looked to be well on my way to cc-a. But about 2 weeks back I started to struggle with tempo big time and have completely lost any feel for it. It's like my play has reverted back to the first week of the games release, when I, like everyone else, was a rookie. I can barely break par lately, on tour and in career mode. Something has changed with the game, for me at least. Guess I was just wondering have any of you fellow xboxers had a similar experience to me? Got to the stage now that I feel like just packing it in completely, at least until I get my hands on a series x. Thankfully, after a couple of weeks or so of tortuous tempo issues, things seemed to have returned to a degree of normality recently and I feel like I have some control over my shots again. I wonder how long it will last.

Had two rounds in row without the glitch on the SX. One a society the other a local match. About to do a private match. We will see.
HB knows about it obviously. But their communication sucks so if they fix/fixed it we might never know what the issues were.
Good news is other games run amazing on this . Can get 120 fps 1080 on cod and 60 fps on pubg. Which is a huge difference.
The guys coming from the og xbox to the SX with a 4K TV will see the biggest difference.
