Just wondering how the time of day option works for a round because on a number of occasions I have changed the time of day from say dawn or morning to noon to (hopefully) shed a bit more light on the course and avoid some courses where there a large areas of shadows on greens. Unlike the crowds and weather which seem to work when turned off and changed the time of day option does not seem to change the amount of light shed on a course, i.e. selecting noon to have the sun more overhead. Does anyone know why this would be the case? Is it a bug? Is it the same for all courses or only some and why? Thanks for anyone who can "shed some light" (pardon the pun!) on this. I find it one of the more annoying features in the game. Thanks and cheers

A low inclination will cause the sun to circle the plot along the horizon - similar to the way the sun behaves in the wintertime at the Arctic Circle. If that is the case, the sun won't ever be high in the sky, even at noon.

A little annoying however because that means some courses will always appear the same irrespective of the chosen time of day. Cheers and thanks

Why do designers set the inclination low in the sky?

Why do designers set the inclination low in the sky? The "God" look of the sun peeking out over the trees is just one thing I can think of, but I am sure there is much more nuance than this.

I'd prefer to see the "God" look of the wonderful contours and colouring of a green or fairway. The heavily shadowed areas of some courses are giving me the sh*ts! Am the only one that thinks this detracts from the visual appeal of this game? I get the "God" look of the sun but I don;t see the point of effectively having adjustable lighting but then not able to use it.
