I've always played these games on xbox but the playstation players seem to shoot lower as a whole. Is this a hardware issue or is it the playstation controller being superior for this game?

It's more a physical attribute thing. It's a well known fact that PS4 players have little tiny hands, which enable them to hold that controller without it looking like a child's toy. The upside is this gives their swing stick thumb a much shorter distance to travel up and down, hence more margin for error and a better, more consistent tempo.

I think PlayStation users are slightly more talented gamers on average (for various reasons that I am unsure of: marketing, region, age group, type of gamer/games, casualness, larger playerbase which creates more competition and better gamers, etc.) but I also think the controller could have something to do with it. I've only held a PlayStation controller a few times and the sticks felt more sensitive, less springy, but almost slightly more accurate. To me, the Xbox controller and sticks feel better, but the PlayStation sticks could be better for this game; the extra spring in the Xbox controller could be negatively affecting our tempo. |

The XBox players like to have more realistic scores so we asked HB if they could make the XBox harder than PS4 and they were happy to oblige.

You obviously haven't seen other crossplay leaderboards, like CoD Warzone. Literally all the top guys are on PS. And I'd bet you Xbox k/d ratios and wins are lower on average.
