Playing through the single player PGA Tour, and during my round, while watching a replay of Tony Finau holing out from off the green for what seems like the 174th time (seriously I turned the Highlights off - seems like its the same three players draining 50ft putts every two holes), I noticed that the game very accurately models his Nike golf sneakers, yet there's no Nike gear to be found in the customisation menu.
2K secured rights to use his Nike shoe in the game, but couldn't offer us any Nike gear? Does that make sense?

Does that make sense? If you notice, in the loading screens prior to the game fully booting up, there's a screen with all the apparel and gear logos on it. Nike is included in there, as is Hugo Boss. Neither of those brands currently have any items available for your MyPlayer. Nike stuff is seen on, as you said, Tony Finau and Cameron Champ. Patrick Cantlay wears Hugo Boss. My hope is that these brands are ones that get some DLC in the future for our MyPlayers to wear. Since they have the license to use these brands, seems silly to waste them only on the pros in-game. |
