It has been this way since day 1. When I look at my outfits, under tops and hb studios, that little plus notification that lets you know you have a new clothing item won't go away despite there being no new clothing. It's more annoying than it sounds as somebody who gets really OCD about clearing notifications.

I have this same issue...assumed I was the only one! If I remember right, it was one of the first unlocked items you get - a polo shirt or something. The item doesn't show in my inventory, but that plus sign is still there, no matter what.
