Even though the wind is blowing I have no indication of how fast or from which direction. And I have searched a number of times in settings and can't see where it is turned off. I am playing bad enough with knowing I am driving into a 15mph wind.

It's in settings > difficulty. Scroll down to wind display and it will have three options, off, meter only or wind speed

Be advised...it's not there when you play in the Q-School event Difficulty Settings for TGC Tours Swing Difficulty (Platinum, Elite, Kinetic, Challenge Circuit): Master Swing Difficulty (Beer League): Pro Swing Timing: On Distance Control Meter: Off Distance Control Assist: Off Putt Preview: 0 Course Yardage: Open Pro Vision: All off Scout Camera: UI Off Lie Grid: Open Green Grid: Open Pin Preference: Open Aim Marker: Open Wind Display (Platinum/Elite/Kinetic): Meter Only Wind Display (Challenge Circuit/Beer League): Open Distance Display: Carry |

Yeah but even with the speed not showing you still get the circle with the directional arrow and partially filled to varying degrees to estimate the speed. It sounds like the OP has nothing at all 🤔
