Yea I went +10 after the first 4 rounds and recalibrated my swing for the evangelist and felt good about it and just had a meltdown. A few untimely slows had me in the water and now I'm at sitting at +38 after 8 rounds. Should be enough for a tour card, but super frustrating when I was going under par in my practice rounds. |

Bottom Cut is +45 thru 6 but many people won't finish and with 2 more rounds, I could see it going to +60, +70 after all said and done.

After a -20 at Evangelist, I finish at -45 after the eight rounds. Probably a bottom third P or top E slot. Proud of either one.
While some of Evangelist's criticism is warranted as host of a site-wide qualifier event, it's nails as a tournament course. Really enjoyed the challenge and playability, a rare video game course where 65 felt attainable and an accomplishment at the same time. I thought the combo of tight fairways, light rough (usually 92% - 97%), and tightly mowed green run-offs presented some fun risk/reward approach decisions. And the green sculpting was top notch imo. And a couple terrific risk/reward holes.
Cannot believe some of the scores getting posted with the new mechanics, but then again it's not very surprising all things considered.
And while I appreciate HB's theoretical efforts in creating a wide range of difficulty options, I desperately wish some randomness was implemented the farther a swing's tempo gets from perfect. Golf is a sport of managing misses, and the really bad "misses" should not be predictable within a five-yard window. Oh well. Good luck to all still finishing up. A fun season ahead.

Cranked up my first round just now and very happy with a -7. Best tempo I've had the first 14 holes. Really had to earn it on last 4 scramble on all of them to make pars.

Finished Evangelist at -19 (-9 -9 +1 -2) for a total of -36. Thinking that will be top of K bottom of E. Had a quad bogey in there in round 3 and rushed my last 2 rounds.. so overall pretty happy. Not going to complain about Evangelist. I think its a stellar tournament course. It makes you think, place shots, and most importantly miss in the right place. You can miss a green on one side and make a par every time, but miss on the other and make a double or worse. My quad was from taking on a hole, and hitting a poor shot (And also missing a few putts). Just be smart, and be aggressive where an opportunity presents itself, and play the other holes smart.

Hey all, quick question. How can I check my scorecard from previous rounds after they are complete? Currently I have to wait for my scorecard to upload to the tgctours website. There's got to be a way for me to see them in game, right?

Absolutely gutted guys and after all that talk about if I’ll make it or not I just shot a +14 in my second round on Evangelist 😬 Really thought after my +2 I had turned a corner to see it all go horribly wrong jeez! 8 bogies, two double bogies and an awful triple on the 16th and started to lose my rag a bit and then birdied the par 3 17th )) Oh man so wounded and need to play this more relaxed with less expectation. Sorry for rant and breath breath as too early in the week for a G&T 😄 Big fan of ur’s! You have great passion and seem like a good dude! I’m Xbox as well and I’m rooting for you to show great gains this season. Lots of great people in CUCC and Swing and Miss if ur looking to join some competitive societies. They’re balanced with divisions for all levels of play. Good luck this season!! Really means a lot to see your words and to be honest it’s you and everyone on the forums that give me this passion and drives me to want to get better so cheers Rob! I think a few years ago I was playing in a society of yours and I truly had a blast and it was a pity I had to take a break from this site and the tours due to work commitments but so glad to be back and plan on staying long term now. Yes those societies do look to have a great bunch and I’ve requested already to be on the waiting list of S&M so hopefully can be part of it soon. To be honest some evenings I plan to play and then find I have spent all evening reading posts on the forum and never played 😄 So big respect to all that run the site also! I’m really finding this new game a struggle in all areas and I picked it up quicker on TGC2019 but that being said I’m enjoying the challenge and I’m at the stage where I know what to do and how to do it but after the swing it’s the complete opposite to what I wanted 😄 but I’m sure it will come and even if that means a season trying to get out of Q school so be it. I like spending an evening setting aside putting practise or chipping etc as it makes the game feel real and hopefully soon will get the fruits! Jeez I’ve rambled on here sorry and could of been +4 through 4 on my third round by now 😜 Anyway good luck those still finishing up and also good luck in your season 👍 |

Thanks, dudes! I was honestly going for -5 to -8 on Evangelist...went -13 thru the first 2 rounds, then just kinda coasted for the most part with E r3, -4 r4. I'll take that every day though. Trying to get my swagger back from TGC19 lol.
