Introduction
Hi, I'm FortyNothing aka Russell Evans. I played on TGC Tours a couple years ago for awhile and even streamed on Twitch. One day after getting a demotion to CC-F, I sort of lost interest in playing and was distracted by other games, music, other things going on in my life. With the new game coming out I have decided to give it another shot and I am enjoying it so far. I am looking forward to the new TGC Tours season and after about a week of developing a new strategy and practicing, I am scoring better than previous games, so I'm willing to give this season a chance and do my best. Here is where I will log my round scores and any other useful information about my TGC Tours Career.

09/19/20 - Registered for Q School Event
After much debate on whether I should play in the Beer League or the Main Tours, I have decided to bite the bullet and play the Q-School Event to try to get my tour card on one of the main tours. I am feeling more confident than ever and while I probably won't place in the top tours, I should fit in somewhere in the challenge circuit. I was in CC-E and CC-F last year and I am hoping to at least place in CC-D or above. From what I can tell, this year's game will produce higher scores, so the competition should be good. I believe I have developed a good strategy for golf shots and putting and I am hoping to place well. I may even get my first win this season. Q School starts tonight and I'm looking forward to taking my first swings.

09/19/20 - Played First 2 Rounds of Q School Event - "Whiskey Dunes - Tour"
Well, I did my first two rounds of the Q School Event and ended up with mixed results. The first round I shot +12 which was pretty bad. The wind + nerves got the best of me and I even missed some no brainer short putts. Round two went much better. I shot +3 which ties my best during practice on this course. If I can keep my scores in the single digits over I will be happy. I have yet to make par on any course in this game so far. +3 is the gold standard for me right now. I am confused as to why TGCT is reporting I shot +13 in the first round. I will have to address that later if it doesn't fix itself throughout the week.

09/20/20 - Played Final 2 Rounds of Q School Event - "Whiskey Dunes - Tour"
I finished my final two rounds of Q-School. I shot a -1 in round 3 which was fantastic. My first score in the game under par. But then I immediately shot +12 in my final round. I had so much trouble with putting in that round. I'm not sure why. Putting is so inconsistent this year. My approach shots suck, so I'm always having to take long, challenging putts which are no good. I have nailed down the distance on putting, but the side to side break I can't seem to figure out. Did they make the holes smaller this year? I'm glad I got week one out of the way, but now I have to wait another whole week to do rounds 5-8. I guess I will catch up on my Career Mode and see if I can unlock some of those sponsorship clubs. My in game funds are also pretty low and I don't have optimal clubs to choose from, but I guess they will come with time...

09/21/20 - Transferred to Beer League
Well, after much debate I've decided to drop out of Q School and forfeit my potential tour card in favor of playing a more comfortable difficulty and playing more to my strengths in the Beer League. I was struggling so much with Master swing difficulty as it was like rolling the dice for timing. I could not be consistent at all with it and I was producing terrible scores. I feel like I belong more in the Beer League as I have never been really competitive even in previous years in CC-E. I was always in the bottom 20%. With every division having a cut now, I doubt seriously if I would be able to make the cut every week in the Challenge Circuit. Beer League is where I belong and I'm not even bummed out about it. It's a huge relief to play in a league more suited to my ability. So let's get to pouring and cheers to all of us in Beer League. May your tap never run dry.

09/21/2020 - W1R1 - "The Giant Green Challenge" - Score: -4
I have played my first round in the Beer League and I must say what a relief. I can finally play golf with some sense of control. Pro difficulty is my most comfortable difficulty. But I have to say, playing on Master difficulty has been good training for Pro. It's like when a football coach makes practice hard so the games are easy. I'm loving playing on Pro difficulty and my score reflects that. I played round one today and scored -4 which is a personal best score in the game so far. I think I've made the right decision. The TGC Tours website isn't reporting scores for the Beer League yet for some reason, so I'll have to get to the bottom of that.

09/22/20 - W1R2 - "The Giant Green Challenge" - Score: E , -4 OVR
A little tougher round this time. I missed a couple short putts and had two double bogeys which pretty much sunk me. I'll have to do better in rounds 3 and 4. I should be able to make the cut though with a score of -4. I guess I'll wait until after cut day to finish my rounds. See you then.

09/24/20 - W1R3 - "The Giant Green Challenge" - Score: E, -4 OVR
I played this round about the same as last round. I had 1 triple bogey which ruined an otherwise decent score.

09/25/20 - W1R4 - "The Giant Green Challenge" - Score: -2, -6 OVR
I had a pretty decent day on the final round of week one. 5 birdies, 10 pars, and 3 bogeys. No doubles or triples. I had a few putts lip out which I've noticed happens a lot more this year than previous. Pretty annoying really. But I felt good about the way I played today. Overall, I am having fun playing in Beer League and I'm glad I dropped out of the Main Tours. Who knows where I would be had I went through with it. In the bottom, missing the cut every week most likely. I think I had a pretty decent showing for week one of -6 overall. Anything under Par I'm happy with and I had zero rounds with a score above par, so I'm pretty happy. I can't wait for week 2. See you out there!

10/01/20 - W2R1-4 - "The Great Lakes Inv." - Final Score: +4
This was an interesting week. I enjoyed the course, very linksy and pretty tough, but I made it through and made the cut at least. Ended up being +4 which is not bad for me on a tough course. I tried to play a practice round on the Q school event for next week and shot +13, so that's a no go for returning to the tour for me. I'm right at home in Beer League.

10/06/20 - Trying Q School Again - OVR Score: +21
Well, I know I said I was "at home at Beer League" but I've decided to try out for the tour again. I was getting kind of bored in Beer League and I thought it might be more fun playing in CC, so i gave it a try and shot +21. Not great, but better than +26 of the first week of q school. Not sure where that will place me but I guess we'll see...
