Call me RyBread.

Season 7 will be my first. I stumbled across TGCT on a Reddit thread after purchasing my first TGC game (2k21), and I've enjoyed learning about the experience. I'm anxious to earn my TGC Tour Card and compete for one of those Winner Banners to be added to my signature on this forum. I'll update this thread periodically to add in accomplishments, summaries of each tournament, and replays of career shots during those tournaments.

I'm excited for my first qualifying event this weekend, and to see how I match up against everyone. I've got some low expectations as of right now considering I don't know what I'm up against, but I look forward to the grind of being promoted and hopefully increasing my World Golf Ranking. Check back in after each tournament!

"Pre-Season 7 - Exhibition"
Wanted to check in with an update after my first practice tournament playing in the CC Exhibition Tournament.

I ended +16 for the tournament. Obviously not where I want to be, but I'm pleased with it. After 18 holes I was +7, so I averaged +3 over the next three rounds, which means I made a quick improvement. I'm content with that for my first look at playing with these settings. No swing meter is tough! But, it takes me back to the Tiger Woods 2004 days, (probably the last time I played a golf game religiously). My putting is what killed me, much like my game in real life. I just cannot judge the swing power well and it led to a few 3-putts. I've also realized from other posts on here that I'll likely end up catering my swing to be slightly fast every time.

All-in-all.. I'm excited for the challenge.

Finished my first TGC Tour Qualifying Event (1/2) at +5. Not what I was expecting for myself but managed to be somewhat consistent and didn't let myself get too carried away. Nice mix of bogeys and birdies, with a few doubles/triples. Currently sitting on the cusp of earning a Tour Card after 2 rounds have been recorded. Hopefully I stay in contention as the final two rounds unfold.

Evangelist...

What a tease! Started out Rd1 with a bogey-free 9 under. Thought I was turning a corner! Rd2 brought me back down to earth with a score of even par but still kept me at 4-under for the qualifying event. I felt great!

Rd3 score of +3 still kept me 1-under and feeling good about a top tier CC card. But the dreaded Rd 4 posting of an 84 (+14) killed my spirits.

I'm happy to have earned my place in the TGCTour at CC-E and plenty of room to grow and learn playing at these settings. I'm excited to compete with others at my skill level, and hoping I gradually work my way up into higher tours. Eyes on the prize though.. a trophy.
