Carry distance shown and roll out if shown don't change regardless of what the conditions are. It still says 263m + 24m for my driver when I'm hitting downhill with a tailwind and end up driving it 330m or something.
That is what I thought was the case. So, I don't get the reason to have Carry rather than Total, or probably Open so players can choose what they want.
What is this rollout you speak of? Like, after your ball lands? My advice to you is only EVER worry about carry. Just my opinion, and you might not have as many rounds over the other TGC games as some of us. Ditch caring about roll as it will get you in a wreck. Work your math based on carry only. 😏😏

Doyley Notice the import of season schedules. Event names for the Challenge Circuit look like the ones from 2K19. Will they be changed as I thought was told in forum channels?

Will the wind meter be showing the mph number in the qualifying tournaments? No, it will not show the number...the meter will show but no number. Sorry for the newb question, but how do you tell the wind speed with meter only? Half full is 5 mph? Depends on the conditions? Thanks!

Thanks! Play a few rounds with the wind speed on and look at the circle. General rule I go by is half full is about 12mph.

Thanks - I played several rounds and thought I had it licked (I was using 6 as half!) but realized I didn't after a while. I will try 12 - thanks!

Hey all! New guy here and excited to get started. I noticed on the weather report for week 2 it lists all the tee boxes for the course. Does that mean we are playing a mix each round, or could be any specific set for a round. Thanks and looking forward to hacking it up this season!

CC names won't be changed - those are made up ones. We're more concerned about the official PGA/Euro and a few Korn Ferry ones.

Ya..don't change the CC Tournament names or Beer League names...a few of mine are in there and I like seeing some Canadian content

I ran into a glitch on one of the qualifying courses, can’t remember which course. It was a short par 4 with water and a boardwalk left of the green. My ball rolled left from the green and stopped on the boardwalk. The ball seemed to drop between planks in the boardwalk. I tried to hit out of it but got a ball hitting wood sound and the ball didn’t move. I declared unplayable. I backed up over lots of water, and hit land, but it was an X and I had nowhere to drop. If this happened in the qualifying round, I would have to take a 10 and greatly reduce my chances of qualifying. Any idea how things like this would be handled?

I ran into this problem at Evangelist in a round. Flew the ball about a yard into the edge of the water & it allowed me to play it. After taking a swing it stayed in the water & got stuck. Wouldn’t allow me to take unplayable. Going forward I would recognize & take unplayable before attempting. Not sure what you would do if that bug happens during qualifying because as far as I know there is no fix & people have had to withdraw when it happens in career mode.

I’ve been debating whether to join the Beer tour or do the Q school for one of the tours on master setting but so far only been playing in societies on Pro and still struggling. I do like the idea of being able to improve and maybe move up levels but I just tried my first round on masters and finished +18 and what do you guys think? Is that too bad to even contemplate trying on the main tours on master setting? Interested to hear what you think? It’s more tempo and hitting straight that is causing me problems more than chipping and putting.

Then if need to, drop down into the Beer league. This is the option that I will pursue. 2. Go ahead and opt out of the upper tours and qualifiers and play the Beer League as this will allow you to compete and at the same time work on your skills with the goal of eventually entering into a qualifier with the hopes of gaining a tour card.

I thought about doing Q school but tried The challenge exhibition comp and was hacking it all over the course. It’s not just not fun for me. I’m still on pro-am and quite happy on that.
