This thread seems to be always be in a state of change! Not a dig at all either because I tend to do the same thing haha It does look really cool though and I like where your head is at on some of your hole designs and the environment. Not gonna lie though, I was hoping you'd stick with the steppe theme but I know that is a tough theme to design in for sure. Do you have a beta out for this course? Yep I'm not afraid to allow this thread to be a stream of consciousness lol. If nothing else it's a good look back for me later on how many failed ideas it took to get this project over the finish line. I really wanted to keep it in steppe to fit my look of a course built on a flat land in West Texas...but I had to accept the reality that I would run out of time trying to get it all planted. I typically have 30 minutes to an hour most days to work on the course right now (and that's before the holidays get into full swing). The move to delta feels like a bit of a crutch to simplify my planting...but I like the look it's taken on. I'm close to having a beta out. I'm down to 1 or 2 greens needing work plus 10 bunkers to sculpt and then I can publish a beta while working on clubhouse/course surround planting before coming back in December for final design tweaks based on feedback.

I've completed some significant expansion and tweaking of the sandy/waste areas to keep the dead areas of the course from being a vast green expanse. I'm particularly fond of the approach on 18 now. I can't take credit for the idea of wrapping the green with and as 3 different people suggested it after taking a look the course. The result allows me to incorporate the cape hole template I've been trying to use but hadn't yet found the right place for. You can see the 18th hole in the right side of the routing photo. The other change of note was cleaning up the splattering of bunkers on the 11th and 12th holes and installing a pair of principal's nose bunkers. The 11th green also features a rotated double plateau green. With split tees, the green tees have to deal with the nose on 11 (currently looks like a sliced open avocado as I took screenshot before filling it in lol) while the red tees will face the nose on 12. 11th hole 12th hole That's all for now and I expect to have the official beta out for b101 and others to take a look at within the next few days.

Wow course is looking dope! I am sorry I never got the chance to play the first beta you had. I am going to give it a try now but I will also play the next beta when you publish it.

That's looking really good. Very interested to play the next beta. Really digging the surface combinations with the waste bunker vibe.

aeastwood54 hey if you canāt beat āem, join āem, right? I forgot all about that. My other outfits are classic golfer in polo gear but I was tired of my round 1/casual clothes and decided to switch it up to my preferred fall/winter golf look.

When I find myself spending 2+ hours building a halfway house w/ a smoker and wood pile, I think thatās a sign that Iām in a good enough place with the course and itās time for some feedback. Iāve also built a grass farm and am testing out a few different planting schemes. b101 please let me know you have time for a play through and I will add some notes here on course conditions and maybe a few things in particular I could use another eye on. Beta is named MHM4a

Loved your beta! You have some nice creative hole designs and I loved all the options off the tee with the wide fairways. Nice job!

Just finished playing it. Fun course for sure! Really curious to see how you go about planting it and handle the waste areas.
I felt that some of your bunkers were on the small side, but that's really my only critique.
Loved your green complexes, interesting slopes and appropriate for the holes.

Good to see Matt playing this last night.Ā Thought it looked great.Ā Ā What's Matt's channel and where is it and are streams available after the fact? 4 kids and a time difference always the issue with watching streams live for me.
