If you are struggling with tempo, try this. It has done wonders for my friend and I.
Use the arc as your timing ( visual) mechanism. The size of the grey area determines your tempo.
Larger grey area means slower backing swing. Obviously, the smaller the faster.
Try to create tempo from the backswing. Look at the arc and try to start your downswing right as it begins to close.
Now, take a practice swing to see if you are slow or fast. If you are slow, increase the backswing swing and try to keep the tempo with your downswing. Vice versa with fast.
My friend and I have reduced the exaggeration of bad shots which allows us to make par when we used to make doubles or triples.
Hope this can help some folks!
Finally qualified for the Korn Ferry using the TGC master settings with this method. It works!

I don't quite understand what you mean by arc.

The timing arc on the right side of the screen where it shows if you are fast or slow. Right above the swing plane diagram.

If the arc grey/white zone shrinks it means you're overswinging

I don't think it makes any difference how slow you pull the stick back, the backswing still moves at the same speed on the screen. I tried a really slow movement and it just threw my tempo out.
I normally just ease stick back then firmly push forward. Sort of like a real life swing where the backswing is around a third the speed of the downswing. I'm always over 100% on the swing but it's too quick to stop it before that without it being way under. The only other way I've found to get it close to 100% without going over is to hold the swing for a second before making the downswing, which also throws my tempo out.

The backswing animation stays the same. This technique has just helped me with timing. Obviously you want to be at 100% or just below for control but for me that will come with time.
I was just thinking this might help some that aren't enjoying the master setting. It won't work for everyone.

Yeah, I've given up on trying to dial in percentage on the backswing with full shots, although with pitching it works to drag the marker back to around the target distance and just play my normal swing. In this instance it does slow down the backswing so it doesn't get to 100% when I use the same timing as a full swing. I used to have trouble with those shots because I'd slow the downswing to get the distance which obviously resulted in falling short to the right. Once I worked out how it works it was much better.
I normally just aim in areas that will still result in a safe shot even if I miss the timing a bit. Doesn't help much with really bad misses but I'm gradually reducing the amount of those each round.
