Jeff (SmilingGoats),
What can we learn from our exchange. If you have a misguided community that posts something you are uncomfortable or disagree with you should try and either personally message them with your concerns and try and work with them to get to the underlying issues that may have prompted their misguided efforts or present your response more professionally and with a willingness to understand. You should not call their post ridiculous and try and disregard their misguided effort. We all have our faults. Mine is I can be like a bull in a china shop but you know what maybe some of that china needed to be replaced. I really do wish you the best just felt like you crossed a line.
Best Regards,
-Mike

I'm still not a 100% sure what's the best way to go for the future.
If I had to decide right now, I'd wish the following:
The game changes the way how wind and elevation is handled. So we just see some kind of estimates, not exact figures (as already suggested). The scout cam makes the game a little bit to easy maybe. But if we have to play without it in the future, the Overhead Cam/Birdie Book View has to get some kind of "upgrade", as it is pretty improvable in my personal opinion.
I really hope that we are not going to skip the green grid. Why?
1.) I think putting is one of the harder things in this game anyway. So any help is appreciated (by me at least). 2.) Putting without a grid may consume lots of time, and I think an approximate 30mins per round as it is right now is just perfect for a video (golf) game. 3.) Also in real golf, the green is the one thing I can examine/explore/analyse the most. So if there is a (big) break on the green, I should immediately see it on the green grid.
That's basically how I see the things right now!

If the wind for tournaments problem gets resolved, that will help somewhat. I could see the possibility of some players wind waiting hole by hole in extreme circumstances. For example: Waiting for a tailwind on a par 5 that would normally be unreachable or a strong left to right to bend a tee shot around a dogleg because shot shaping with a driver is very risky.
I do think that as the tours progress up from the Champions to the Euro & PGA, the courses should become more difficult. Course selection is a large factor imho. It seems that the best courses are selected for tournament play for the top 2 tours but it also seems to me that a lot of the 5 star courses are some of the easier ones. (easier courses seem to fare better ratings). I wouldn't see an issue with asking a designer to bump up (or down) a few settings on an otherwise wonderful course so it would meet the difficulty requirement for that tour.
A question that I have about course selection is.... are courses selected on posted ratings alone or does someone from that tour play test the course (or courses in consideration for a particular event) to see if it would be appropriate for the skill level of that tour?

The selection I prefer is not listed. Firm and fast, but not long. Same I prefer Medium / Fast with more slopes to make it tougher like Magnolia.

As you say, there are other tours you're probably better suited to, couldn't have put it better myself, see ya... ?

Hey everyone, After having some time to really reflect on the OP I have gone in and edited the OP for clarity and objectivity. I hope I did not cause too much controversy with the original post. I think it's worth a re-read and would appreciate any honest input or vote to help provide tgctours with some valuable information. Thanks, -Mike
