No one seems to have started a thread on Exhibition Event #3 so I will ... I went E, -4, +4 ,+5 for an overall +5. Currently 10th on XB1 with the leaders at -11. A few comments in no particular order: - Even though I've been playing Pro clubs elsewhere, it switched me to Masters for the event so the difficulty seems to be working
- I don't like having the putting meter. Can we have Open rather than On?
- I liked the look of the course but I was not a fan of the narrow fairways and random bounces into the rough
- [XB1 player] Even though I calibrated prior to rounds 3 and 4 and was getting majority (just) Perfect, I don't think I had a single perfect during my rounds. If the crowds are going to screw with my tempo, can we add to them to the practice ground for calibration!
- [XB1 player] And what is it with the Random Slows that point to 2 o'clock (using an hour hand analogy). Most of my swings are between 11:30 (slightly Fast) and 12:30 (slightly Slow) but then jump to 10:00 for a Very Fast (which is usually my fault) and 2:00 for the Very Slow (which feels the same as my Perfect swings) ... and there is nothing in between. I just think the XB1 controller (+ XBox) cannot handle the nuance needed for this game. The problem on Masters is the penalty for those wayward swings is far greater than on Pro. Rant over!

I personally think the CC tours should be on Pro difficulty then if you get a promotion you should have to take it and try the master difficulty. I’ve been playing the exhibition events and I think the master difficulty setting has sucked the fun out of it for me no one likes shooting +10 or more a round. I’m only slightly better on pro but enjoy it more as my scores vary between -5 to + 7 which to me is a much more believable range.

Jesus H C on a pogo stick.
I keep forgetting to look at the damn putting meter. Have conditioned myself to not look at it, or anything much on the screen. I kind of stare in the general direction of the cup and just absorb my surroundings in my peripheral vision and go by feel. Always have putted that way, can't focus on any one thing, it distracts my concentration. Sounds kind of weird but it has always been that way since I started playing TGC way back
+7 by the 11'th hole. Started to get used to the meter, got myself to +3, starting round 2 now.

Pointless Les - they then just DNF for 3 weeks, get demoted and back to dominating with pro clubs.
Master clubs for all is the only way.....

I’ve been playing with the meter off and gotten used to it. Started this exhibition and saw putt meter on and wanted to turn it off but it was locked. I eventually started to ignore it but it just messes up my stroke. +2 for two rounds. Nice course. I never check for OB and got burned hitting into the cow pasture.

Do the society settings lock your club set? I changed clubs after I played my first round yesterday and played other rounds afterwards with the change. I played round 2 today and I had the same clubs as the first round before the change.

This event was locked at Master clubs - good to know we have a way to lock in settings going forward.

Been away from the game a bit to be honest and haven’t played much since launch, are the results of the exhibition events on TGCtours?

I meant locking the actual clubs in your golf bag, not the difficulty level. I had dropped the lob wedge from my bag after round 1 and replaced it with a different club. When I went back later to play round 2, the lob wedge was still in my bag, not the club I had replaced it with. If this is true, then you can't change clubs between rounds to account for different conditions. That's what I was trying to get at.

I agree with Coggin...please make the putting meter open...very distracting to have it there, I don't want to see it as I also play other society's where it's not allowed.

That's not something I can lock at the society level so it's more than likely an HB thing where the clubs you start an event with will be same ones throughout.
