I’m a bit confused with the club carry distances. I understand the different clubs you decide to play with affect attributes including distance. However, in past games, the harder the difficulty you played on, the further each clubs. Array distance would be. In 2K21, this does not happen for me.
For example, I have a Callaway Mavrik 5 wood in my bag. If I play on Pro-Am difficulty, the carry is somewhere around 210. If I up the difficulty to Legendary, the carry distance on that 5 wood is still around 210.
Is this how the game is now, or am I missing something?

The difficulty now is (from my understanding) solely based on the forgiveness you get for being a perfect. On pro am it is significantly easier to achieve a perfect, while a shot slightly off tempo on legend could slice 30 yards into the trees.

You are correct. All clubs go the same distance regardless of difficulty. It's up to you to choose clubs that either go far or clubs that are more forgiving and easier to hit straight. Personally, I love this. Club matching and plugging holes in yardage between clubs in your bag is an art in itself now.
