If we cannot use the power bar putting what do the %% actually mean. I THOUGHT maybe a 167 speed flat green and an 83 foot put would be 50% but NOOOOO.
I'm "OK" with MASTER clubs but putting is totally a mind F*ck without that bar . I doubt I can be competitive. I’m 66 and don’t have the twitch muscles as you young dudes.

It's not 1 to 1 calculation.167ft would be 100%, but 2 ft is not 1% it something like 20%. It's hard to describe, so you can see for yourself: 1.turn the meter ON 2.Move the distance marker away or closer and see how the percentages change depending on the distance.
I'm sure someone will take the time and chart it in the future, or you can do it yourself.

So, I did this. Sort of a quick knock up. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IiEq9eOh5EO_NVvcOfIoG_3orZhjphtEUGv2bpU6y2Y/edit?usp=sharingBasically, I went to the practice putting green and slowly increased or decreased distance. (I'm on computer, and just used W S to increase or decrease distance) Left column is the listed putting percentage. Right column is/are the distance(s) in feet that the game showed while the putter still registered that specific percentage. It's not 100% accurate, I made it pretty quick. But it's a good start for trying to learn the putting feel.

That seems like the right process, except you have to do it for all the different green speeds. 15 ft put on 144s and 187s would be different length of the takeaway

Thanks for posting that sheet. Since we can’t use timing I will have to learn visual.

Appreciate both the spreadsheet and the course provided in this thread. I'm also struggling a great deal getting the putting power dialed in correctly because the numbers don't add up like in the older games.
I'm sure it'll eventually click but the change from 2019 to this has been by far the most difficult part to transition to.

I'm serious here - take that damn bar and percent off and you will putt better. Once I took the percent bar off it was VERY near TGC19. The bar and the percent were no help at all and now I feel MUCH more comfortable in PRO "clubs". My only issue is the small hole (that's what HE said).

I've actually found the haptic feedback very useful for putting, seemingly unlike a lot of others. As long as I take away the club slowly, I just wait for the little vibration then push it forward. Usually I either sink it or end up within a couple of feet, not unlike what I do in real golf.
I haven't found it useful on full swings with a faster takeaway though.

My personal putt breakthrough (and I've been very vocal about how they've ruined it) is, I was waiting too long in the backswing to initiate the downswing. Now I'm starting the downswing near the end of backswing travel rather than AT the end. Never have used the power bar.
