My bag right now is D, 3w, 3-9, wedges. I bought a set of irons, and they only allow me 4-9...I have to keep my old 3 iron.
Is this a bug? Or are they grouping the 3 iron into either the woods or the hybrid section?

And there’s no way to tell before purchasing the set, right?

Some sets do, some do not. Depends on the brand. That makes zero sense then. I'm gonna call this a bug. Some manufacturers IRL don't offer certain clubs in their sets while others do.
-Among the drivers you'll see that certain sets have differing degree drivers, some have more than one degree option and others just have one
-Some wood sets have 3W, 4W, and 5W while others have no 4W -Hybrids can be 3H, 4H, or 5H, but others have less than three -Irons: some have a 3I, others do not -Wedges: Some have 4 options (1 per wedge type), while others have 8 options (2 per wedge type)
I don't think ALL of that is bugged. It is intended to be like that. What I don't like is that before you purchase you cannot browse to see what comes in that purchase.

And there’s no way to tell before purchasing the set, right? Correct. This is the annoying part for me.

I thought I read/heard you could adjust the angle of your wedges, but it seems that depends on what you buy.

Dunno why they didn't put option in to look at clubs in truth.
Can only presume clubs with bit extra distance have more choice...as in lofts on drivers , extra wood/hybrid and 3 iron.

Many manufactureres no longer include a 3 iron because most golfers including low handicappers have switched to using a 3 hybrid instead of a 3 iron. I'm a 4 handicap and I got rid of my 4 iron and added a 4 hybrid because I can it it further, more consistently and it has more spin than a 4 iron.

Except in this game, although the hybrids have a substantial advantage in spin (shot shaping attribute) their stopping power is far inferior. The HB Iron set (longest yardage) 3i is rated at 215y, and at 100% with full backspin/full angle, off the tee, on medium firmness greens, lands 201 and rolls out till 207 (almost 208). The higher spin rating TM 4hybrid which is also 215y, with the same spin/angle lands 210 and rolls out to 221. I'd much rather have the 3i.

If anyone has any questions about a particular Driver, Wood, Irons, or Wedge, just let me know and I'll post a video on their yardages for you. I've been level 100 since August 22 and earned 25,000 coins. I've already bought half the available clubs??, and still have around 10,000 coin left, so no worries.

I found it quite annoying to buy TM's P790 irons and not be able to have a 3 iron. TM sells them 3i through GW even though the default is 4i-PW. The game doesn't even give me the PW but rather 4i-9i and then my wedge setup from Callaway has the PW-LW.
