Gems of War

I generally suck at FPS games because of my slow reaction times and lack of coordination, so a game I have started playing (on PC, though it is available on PS, XBox, & Switch) is Gems of War from 505Games. It is free, although like most new games it has tons of DLC you can pay for - I have been trying to work my way through (which I am pretty sure will take forever) without paying.

This is a strange combo of a "Match 3" game and a "Deck Building" game; it is single player but there is much interaction with members of your "Guild" on in game Chat and Discord. At this point 70 hours in, I am nowhere near understanding the ins-and-outs of this game, which means I can play it for a long time without finishing (the devs are also adding new content continuously). One nice thing to me is that you can open and play for just a short time, then stop and go back in at any time.

I am interested to see if anyone in the TGC community has played or heard of this game.

I play on my phone and I’m near level 900. Pretty fun game but you start seeing the same pvp teams without too much variation. Also key to be in a good guild. It’s definitely fun. I started playing Puzzle Quest and incredible to see how large this game has expanded

I just kind of stumbled upon the game a month or so ago, since it was free. I have always enjoyed Match 3 type games, but of course this is so much more. I am at lvl 90 now, and moved to a God level Guild recently, so things are going along OK, but this game seems incredibly complex at this point; I have not done so many of the things I hear about on my Guilds Discord, like Delves, the Underworld, etc. I will keep plugging along, but playing Guild Wars against Level 1000+ players is pretty humbling.

Yes...it’s been out for quite awhile so some people are 1000-2000 level. When you start working on guild events you will level quickly
