A lidar version of Sherwood Lake Club, the par three course designed by Jack
Nicklaus, is now available.
Standing tall on its designer's Hall of Fame pedigree, Sherwood Lake Club
opened in 2006 in Thousand Oaks, California (adjacent to the Sherwood
Country Club). What makes the course unique is the all-star combination of
six original Nicklaus designs specifically for that venue, along with 12
more hand-picked "inspired-by" holes from courses he either had already
designed or ones that had resonated with him while on the PGA Tour.
The end result is Nicklaus' Sherwood Lake Club is a unique 1,966-yard, par
54, course that quickly picked up the nickname of "The Bear's Best." Here is
rundown of the holes.
