This weeks course is The Waterway Club by Violinguy69 . Can you fathom how clever I am, bringing the Ferry to the Waterway, as in the ferry is sailing on the waterway, the depths of my intelligence continues to astound me and no doubt you. So shall we dive right in? The Waterway club was a entry into the major design contest that unfortunately sunk with out a trace in the second round of voting but I salvaged the dreams of the designing by raising it from its watery grave so you all could have the pleasure of playing this fine course and by bringing the Korn Ferry here this week, we have helped the course avoid liquidation. I hope to see many streams of people playing this week. I would avoid jumping in at the deep end though, a practice round or two could make the difference between sinking or swimming so avoid the pier pressure of playing to early. As we are now in the middle of summer, the heat on the course will be high, so make sure you all stay hydrated to ensure you keep your round flowing. Chuck is a very meticulous designer, he likes to be pacific in all elements of his design and I am sure you will all notice this as you play around, he sure has made a big splash in the design community since his first course, he has bridged the gap from new guy to established name. He likes to stay current in the latest trends in design he does not always go with the flow, many times saying to himself, dam it then swims against the tide to show his own vision, which brings a uniqueness to his courses, there are no pirated ideas here and despite designing many courses, his well has still not gone dry and he continues to pump out new courses. Like all of Chucks courses, this is a fanta sea course which may be hard to swallow when you sea that he has delrivered another course of share quality. I am disappointed that I am not in the KF anymore because I do mist played courses like this but hopefully some day soon, I will resurface on to the Korn Ferry. But for the rest of you, enjoy this week, good luck and have fun.

Different week and it seems sunny on the Pacific. After playing like a royal Doorknob last week decided to give the old sticks one more try while in Britain. Stunk up Portrush so now they float along somewhere in the Atlantic (golf course design actually) and borrowed my caddy’s ( my oldest’s controller) clubs for the opening round in Portland. -14 are you kidding me. So now I sit somewhere I have never sat before. No wonder your butt cheeks tighten. I’m already inside my toque about round 2 but I’m going to go for it. If I blow up I blow up I just don’t know when I’ll get back there.

I'm going through a bit of a rough patch with this game at the moment and an contemplating hanging up my TGCT clubs until the next game comes out. I've got two controllers I now can't use because they've got too old, and one I can't use because I'm useless with it. Xbox tempo plus random directional swings means every round is a grind. I managed a meagre -3 in the first round and was on for something similar in the second until a 5-putt treble at 10 took all the 'give a f***' out of me. I'm missing putts on both sides of the line, can't even play for the miss. No fun.
I may or may not see you next week. Still love this game and this site, but it might be time for a healthy break.

Square pair in round one. One dumb mistake led to the only bogey. But had an eagle to even Steven. Good tempo and steady short game needed for this course. Good luck to all.

Played a great, bogey free round 1 and finished at -10. I thought it would ease the pressure of round 2. Wrong. Started off -4 on the front but a bad 3 putt, double bogey on the 13th had me panicking. Scraped by and only finished -4 and thought, with the relatively easy conditions, -14 wasn't going to be good enough.
Woke up this morning a little more optimistic as my analysis (I'm a business analyst. It's just what I do) spit out that -12 was going to be the cut line. Just hope my analysis is accurate.
Good luck to all.

Man I feel like Shooter in Portland right now, ‘must be putting something in the water.’ Sitting at -22 after 2. My nuts have re- ascended and I’m thinking about picking up some Xanax.

Short game saved my ass in rd2. VF conditions and extremely punitive rough had the FIR/GIR suffering. Glad to bang out a -7 for -15 at the cut.

It feels like my game is just bi polar. Started R1 on Tuesday night. Was even through 8 with 3 bogies and 3 birdies. Had such bad tempo issues I decided to hit the pause button and come back the next day. Glad I did. Finished the first round with a -4 on the back and then went onto a -7 in R2. So much better but still may not be good enough to make the cut. I'll be anxiously watching today but not holding my breath.
In the game to me it feels like 99% of courses are just "second shot" courses with a few tricky drives thrown in. I struggle to think about one tee shot on that course that isn't a challenge. I also really like how the designer brought in the use of shaping shots for the best results for a number of shots. I feel that is an aspect that is more or less forgotten about and love seeing it. Tough not having a primary cut of rough.
Good luck everyone. Maybe I'll be able to hang around for the weekend.

Had multiple drives in round 2 trickle into the rough and give me 70% lies. Maybe I should have shot shaped the drive better to avoid that, but my swing was so wonky I was afraid to tinker too much. This was not a grip it and rip it course. That -11 is going to be close, but round two was the tougher of the two. Good luck.

Just made the cut and worked them out in rounds 3 and 4 for this week.

I had one crazy round 3. Did my best Seve impersonation and gutted out -8. Missed fairways and if I didn’t I was sure to miss the green. 50%GIR. Four chip in birdies will not happen again, maybe ever. I need to straighten things out to have a chance. Not sure when I’ll play rd4 but I’m sure to throw up beforehand. Good luck to everyone.

Man best of luck in round 4! Play some practice rounds, find the number you need to beat and set a game plan. Then stick with it and don't panic if things don't work out early. I'll be cheering for you! Beware of my -18, -18 finish though. Going to play tonight. Anyway can this board give a tip of the cap to Tim Pierce who went 69-92! I can almost bet that being +17 on the front I may need 2 new controllers. Dude stuck it out so mad props. I'm thinking the over/under on F bombs per hole had to be about 5. Was in this spot a couple of weeks ago and understand the frustration. Good luck David!

Thanks for the encouragement. I’m avoiding the leaderboard and will probably get in a round or two. Problem is my practice rounds have been lights out. And my adrenaline messes up my tempo in the event. But I’m not complaining. And I hope you go low. GL Ryan.
