Hi all Hope you are well. I made a boo boo publishing my second course as I forgot to fix a green after sculpting around it .. leaving some serious red lines on it So I fixed it and uploaded the v2 version...sorry (the edge of said green is a little .. ahem, cough ... questionable anyway!) I started my second course with grand ideas to build a links course ... then gave myself a shake and said what are you doing? You're not capable of such wizardry at this stage in your design life .. especially after seeing Old Ainsdale recently ... my word! As I had already laid some of the "shared fairways" down I decided to just carry on and see what happened anyway as I quite liked the plot. Not sure what I have ended up with here ... bit of a mish-mash really. I really would love to hear your criticisms, feedback and suggestions as to how I can improve. My thoughts are: I've flattened the greens way too much The fairway spline shapes are newbie The bunkers are naff ..and ... it's a bit boring ... But don't let all that put you off At least the tee's and the greens are in the same 20 feet horizontal plane this time, compared with my first effort. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thank you for your time and take care.

And...I’ve just realised green 13 is now way too sloped at the front too!
I’ll fetch my coat! 😁

I played your course today and enjoyed my round. I really liked #1, 5, and 17. The course was challenging and I found myself struggling for a few holes. I have added my playthrough....although I don't add any commentary, just thought it might be interesting to see someone else play your course. Again, I struggled with my swing for a couple holes, so I apologize for the fast forwarding there for a little bit lol. I also apologize for rushing through without doing the flyovers...I didn't have a lot of time today. Anyway, nice course and good luck getting more plays!

Well played Mr Souled sir Thank you for taking the time to play and upload a video. It's great to see someone else approach the course, it let me see all the things I missed when building it. Some of the pin positions are pretty bad, I am sorry about that My own fault, I rushed it way to much and have put it down to experience. I've since gone back and made Beachaven (Final Edit), removing all the waste bunker sand from the dunes, as per parttimejaffa's suggestion and I think it does look better. Up close I thought they looked like good sand dunes but from a distance .. mehh .. not so much Thank you again for taking the time to play and video, it is very much appreciated. And .... that putt on the 18th .... golfing gold Stay safe Cheers Greg

Yea it’s weird how when someone else plays your course you instantly see something you’ve never seen before and it’s usually something bad, right? Happens to my courses every single time. I didn’t notice any tough putting areas but that’s been a good spot for me lately. Good luck with your next course whatever it may be.

Just got done with my round. This is really good for a second course in my opinion. There weren't any glaring issues that I can remember. As far as playability, it is fire and forget off the tee on most holes. This isnt necessarily a bad thing, but there isn't much thought needed to get around. The other thing I noticed was the number of greens that run away, especially on long approaches. Makes it difficult to keep it on the green without a 60 ft putt back up the hill. Those two things aside, the routing from what I noticed and variety of shots needed was nice. Despite the length, I had to use almost every club in my bag to get around which only exists in quality golf courses, again IMO. Not the prettiest or tricked up courses, but a solid course that I believe could be accepted into the TGC database, as it is.

Thank you for the feedback guys, it is very much appreciated.
I’ll take all on board for the future.
The final edit has been accepted to the database but I’m sure it will slip away gracefully into oblivion. Good job some would say haha 😂
Thanks again for taking the time.
