KH design wasn’t complete with Kentuck Knob before he found the next piece of canvas for another 18-hole golf club. It didn't take long for Graycliff to receive tour worthy designation from TGC tours. Graycliff is built on 320 acres of land nestled between a prominent cliff in the Appalachians and the rolling hills of the Alleghenies. Measuring 6930 yards from the tips, Graycliff is par 71 course that provides the perfect amount of challenge for experienced and novice golfers alike. KH design’s innovative use of greens will require golfers stay at the Graycliff Inn to get the full Graycliff experience. Don’t have the distance or time for 18 at Graycliff? The Graycliff Inn comes with a complimentary round at the Par 3 executive course for all guests. Want to test your green skills on the same stimpmeter reading Club Champion mayday_golf83 set the course record on? Tee off during very fast conditions. Graycliff can handle it, can you? **KH Design recommends all golfers (judges) tee off when the terrain firmness is fast. This will require golfers calling ahead and asking about course condition overrides. All other conditions can be played as the course superintendent, Mr. Default, has designed.

There was a lot of detail placed throughout this course. A lot of small details that are just out of the primary line of sight. However, the star of the show for me was the awesome layout. Hole 2's green complex kinda looked like a ninja turtle head from my scout cam view, so points there... even if it wasn't intentional. The split greens on 2 and 11 were great, but the tee view of 9 was my favorite of the round. Really fun and interesting round! These judges have their work cut out for them, that's for sure. Awesome publish Kermit!

Thanks bud. I try to balance natural setting with sightlines. I want to ensure my sightlines are interesting and framed but also like adding things outside of view for those wondering eyes looking for golf balls.
I'd agree the routing was my best work yet. Plenty of opportunities to see future/past holes.
The ninja turtle head wasnt intentional but certainly interesting. I also thought the 9th tee was a great way to close the front 9. I appreciate the play through and feedback.

I just finished my round and I had a fun time. Most of the time I play with the wind cranked up and with the wind up it was a tricky little course and I liked it. I appreciated all your path work and stairs. It feels like a course that could be real and that’s nice to see when there can sometimes be an overload of fantasy courses. Thanks for letting us play your creation. Good luck in the contest.

If you had to pick a favorite hole, what would it be?

If you had to pick a favorite hole, what would it be? 3,5,6,9,11,14,18 were my favorites with 11 at the top. The drive is tough there and the mound of grass is nice by the green. The green is framed really well right there.

I rerouted 5 and 6 multiple times. Good to know the final product was good. Thanks for the play.
