Just seen this. Right up my street, a tour of a few (real) few English courses. Love Forest of Arden as it's around where I'm originally from. Not a real life golfer so never played there but I have been to a couple of weddings there! lol Typical that I've just noticed it as the game runs out!!  I told you about the Goats Ben, a couple of times. Can still join so you can remember to revisit when the new game arrives. I hadn't noticed this one featuring English courses Art. Freeing up some time with the Admin step back and going to use it actually playing the damn game!! Just joined a couple of Societies but they're only 2 rounds a week so time also for some Goat action. Where do I sign up? EDIT: Sent join request. |

Hi Ben - just join the Tour of England Society. Tourneys run from Thursdays to Wednesdays, 4 rounds per week - Scratch, Handicap (not the in-game system), and Stableford leaderboards every week from the 4 rounds.
Scroll down to the Tour of England section, it's all there!
You might wanna join the Old Goats Society too, our World Tour is in its' 29th week...
Are you a Coventry City fan by any chance? lol

Event 7 - FOLLY IN THE FOREST - ALL RESULTS
Ken's back on form! Not only did he win the Scratch and Stableford trophies, he came third in the Handicap flight as well. Cajuncapgun (Nathan) and Sikkum (Archie) shared first place on the Handicap leaderboard so well done to those two also!

Event 8 - NORA BATTY OPEN at The Belfry - ALL RESULTS
Ken continues to dominate this tour by winning both the Scratch and Stableford events at The Belfry. He also wasn't far away from winning the Handicap event too, finishing just 2 strokes behind the eventual joint winners, cer1949 (Charlie) and Sikkum (Archie), so well done to you three!!

Event 9 - EVOLUTION INVITATIONAL at High Elms G.C. - ALL RESULTS
As expected, participation numbers dropped drastically last week - but fear not, the Tour of England will continue for the forseeable future.
Congrats to Devs on his first Scratch win, to Charlie on his second Handicap win, and to Ian on his first Stableford win (by a country mile).
Hope to see a few more players at Southport this week...

Event 10 - ENGLISH MASTERZ at Hillside GC, Southport - ALL RESULTS
Talk about domination!! Charlie (cer1949) performed a clean sweep last week, winning all three categories, the first time this season that anyone has achieved that feat!! So, who will step up to the mark and prevent a repeat at Wallasey this week?!

Event 11 - HOME OF STABLEFORD at Wallasey Golf Club - ALL RESULTS
The Scratch event was won by Charlie, his second consecutive victory, but Terry pushed him very, very close this week, just falling short by one stroke!! The Handicap crown was claimed by Randy, who romped away from the field to register his first Handicap win, while Charlie had to settle for the runner-up spot. The Stableford leaderboard was a tight affair at the top, with Charlie again thwarting Terry, this time by the narrow margin of just four points, to record his second win in two starts.
Good luck to all at Royal Liverpool this week - and thanks to everyone who took part at Wallasey!

Event 12 - HOYLAKE HACK at Royal Liverpool Golf Club - ALL RESULTS
He's done it again!! Charlie dominated all 3 events and will need a larger trophy cabinet because I'm sure there will be lots more silverware to come! The Scratch result was never really in doubt, but Bob and Randy pushed him hard in the Handicap. In the Stableford Ian mounted a late challenge but Charlie's total proved to be unassailable.
Thanks again to all who completed the event and I hope to see you all, and possibly more, at Woburn this week...

Event 13 - WOBURN KNEE WOBBLER at The Dukes Course, Woburn - ALL RESULTS
Well done to Ian (RWP or Altaedm) for collecting two trophies, for the Handicap and Stableford flights, at Woburn! The Scratch trophy goes to Pecchia89 who fought off the challenge from Les (Yorkybrom) to win by five strokes.
We hope to see perhaps a few more taking part this week at Wychwood Park, so good luck to all those who turn up...

Event 14 - THE LEGACY OPEN at Wychwood Park, Cheshire - ALL RESULTS
We had a repeat of last week's tournaments, with Pecchia89 taking the Scratch event trophy while Ian (RWP) won both the Handicap and Stableford events. As a result of his impressive play, Ian now leads the Handicap money list, and has advanced on the other two lists.

Event 15 - THE GRAVEL GROVEL at Northwood GC, Middlesex - ALL RESULTS
Ian (RWP) came within one stroke of having at least a share of all 3 trophies this week, but Randy just edged him out in the Handicap event. However, Ian will take great pleasure in winning his first Scratch trophy of the season! Good luck at Mill Ride this week!

Event 16 - ASCOT STAKES CUP at Mill Ride GC, Berkshire - ALL RESULTS
Slightly strange week last week - GeeTee won his first Scratch title, finishing 4 strokes ahead of Ian. The Handicap title was shared by 3 players - GeeTee (again his first), Bob (also his first), and Ian, who remains top of the points list. Ian also waltzed away with the Stableford trophy, his fifth, leaving him in third spot in the points list.
Remember, this week at Wentworth it's DOUBLE POINTS, so good luck to everyone!

Event 17 - VIRGINIA WATER JUG at Wentworth West Course, Surrey - ALL RESULTS
Wentworth's West Course didn't prove to be as difficult as I expected it to be. The Scratch competition ended in a tie for first between GeeTee and RWP (Ian), with Yorkybrom (Les) just one stroke behind in third spot. Bobfletch ran away with the Handicap trophy with a winning margin of 21 strokes, and there was a three-way tie for second between GeeTee, Ian and Randy. Ian again proved too hot to handle in the Stableford event, claiming his sixth win in the process.
Good luck in Staffordshire this week!
