IMPORTANT NOTE - we will NOT be using the 'in-game' Handicap system as we found it extremely flawed.
We have developed our own system which has been used in the OLD GOATS society for several weeks now, and has been found to be popular among members and far superior to the 'in-game' system because it is far more accurate.

2. Sandhills Open - ALL RESULTS
Congrats to Ken who won 2 of the 3 events at Royal Cinque Ports last week - the Scratch and Stableford tourneys! And congrats to Sikkum (Archie) who won the Handicap event!
As for the Money Lists, Ken leads the Scratch competition, Bovakian (Dave) tops the Handicap table, while Ken and Art are tied for first in the Stableford list. But it's early days!

Bovakian (Dave) takes the main honours this week at Hindhead Golf Club by winning the Scratch and Stableford events. In his first tourney Nickel (Nick) grabbed the Handicap trophy.

4. Padstow Party - ALL RESULTS
Kenny takes the plaudits once again by winning the Scratch and Stableford events. Who can halt his seemingly unstoppable march towards total domination?! His record so far is impressive - 3 Scratch wins out of 4 starts and 2 Stableford wins out of 4 starts, with 1 third place in the Handicap event to boot. Charles also has good reason to be happy - he held off a late challenge from Les to claim the Handicap trophy, a well-earned victory that makes him the outright Handicap Money List leader.
Congrats to Skunky for his ACE on the 11th hole in Round 2!!
Thanks to everyone who played and, if you enjoyed St Enodoc, you will probably like our next course at Trevose, just down the road, because it's another fine links style track. Good luck!!

5. The Tractor Open - ALL RESULTS
I hope you all enjoyed golfing at Trevose - Simon (SimChars1968) certainly did, walking away with both the Scratch and Stableford trophies! New boy Yorkybrom convincingly claimed the Handicap prize in his first TOE event.
Ken still heads the Scratch Money List, while Charles' decision to take a week off means that Les Souter now takes over as Handicap Money List leader. Ken also tops the Stableford table but Art edged a little closer to him and Ken will be anxiously looking over his shoulder during the next tourney...

Event 7 Preview - FOLLY IN THE FOREST at the Forest of Arden
Warwickshire is our next stop where we visit the Forest of Arden Marriot Hotel & Country Club. The Championship course has played host to a succession of international tournaments, including the British Masters and the English Open, and still plays host to the European Senior Masters. Also, it recently hosted the European Tour’s Hero Open.
The front nine features a lot of water, whereas the back nine has more of a heathland feel. The 4th and 16th are tempting short par 4’s, while the par 5 17th, with the green guarded by sand and water, will claim a few balls I’m sure. The signature hole is the 18th, an intimidating par 3 across a lake, which will also have a few knees wobbling… Here’s an amusing little video – I can identify with a lot of the bad shots hehe…

6. Luke Donald Salver - ALL RESULTS
This week congrats go to Art for winning the Scratch event, Yorkybrom (Les) for walking away with the Handicap trophy, and Bovakian (Dave) for coming out on top in the Stableford competition. Art would probably have won the Stableford event too, but neglected to submit a scorecard for his final round, so he gets a DQ, the same as Ian last week. "Rules is rules" is a favourite phrase in my local pool league, and applicable here too - sorry Art!
As for the course, Beaconsfield didn't play as good as I thought it would, especially the greens, so will not feature on the schedule next season!

NP Bob, I dig rules and structure. Coulda sworn I posted all my cards lately, but if you don't see it then it ain't there. Glad that old dirtbag Dave could benefit from my mistake, dude needs a few Goat creds. Onward!

Just seen this. Right up my street, a tour of a few (real) few English courses. Love Forest of Arden as it's around where I'm originally from. Not a real life golfer so never played there but I have been to a couple of weddings there! lol Typical that I've just noticed it as the game runs out!!
