At long last, Burgundy Bluffs is finished and ready for play. The cliff-side resort course should offer some relaxing play and stunning views. Designed to play firm with medium to fast green speeds, but should work just fine with softer setups for a casual round. My entry to the 2020 CC Design Contest.

This course is like the "nerdy girl" in 90's movies. Anybody with half a brain can see she is beautiful at the start of the movie. However, near the end of the movie, she takes off her glasses and lets down her hair, and "all of a sudden" becomes the prettiest girl in the movie. Burgundy Cliffs has several "all of a sudden" moments where the "plain" course reveals itself to be one of the most visually appealing courses in the contest. For me personally, 14, 17, and 18 are some of the most stunning coastal cliff-side holes I have played so far in this game. Easily a top contender in this contest. Well done Matt! This is a wonderful course.

I really like this style of course from you. It might be my favorite of all of your courses. Particularly how you reward people for shaping shots into the green. The sun didn't come out too often during my round but when it did it looked gorgeous.

Loved this course. A good test for the top CC guys. Won't be a lot of high numbers but low ones aren't a garauntee either. Really liked that about it. Also plays fair with vf/vf/vf for anyone who wanted a real test of skill. That might be my favorite part of the course. You could really make it play to a wide range of skill without it seeming tricked up. Have a feeling we'll be seeing this one right up to the end. Nice job, Matt.

This needs a bump because it's awesome. The inland holes are just as good as the cliffside ones (hole 2 tee shot is smexy). This will finish high up in the contest for sure!

Beautiful course Matt! Quite challenging at least for me but nothing unfair. Really liked your use of the terrain to make interesting holes. Inspirational!

Speaking of cats
I took my front two mower tires to the tire shop this morning to get them to put on two new ones... I drive through at about 7:20 am, I see they are pulling some trucks out of their bay so I ask, are yall open yet... The fellow says "naw, we open at 8am but come in early every morning to move the trucks out so the owners (identical twin brothers) can feed the cats..
Now mind you, ive been here previously and noticed they had a cat or two inside the office are, but he goes on to say "They have 63, YES 63 cats inside" and it costs them 400 a week to feed them...and its our biggest customer complaint
We will call you when tires are ready... So around 8:30 am I get the call I drive over walk into the office.... There are about 6 desks to my right, with three people working in the office...
There is at least a cat, sometimes two , and sometimes three on each desk... There are several big bird cages, with cats laying in front off and on top of some of them... I lost count in the office at 26.. JUST IN THIS AREA....
I immediately giggled and heard Matt in my mind saying "Stop orion, leave those birds alone" LMAO
Why I told this story here, is beyond me, but hey great course and a free BUMP!!!!!!!!!
