The Tavern League is a PS4 Society that thrives on that feeling of hitting the links with a few pals and a cooler of beer on the Golf Cart. We all communicate using the chat app, SLACK. The social aspect of the society is most important to us, as it makes the competition portion of it, much more fun. So if this sounds like something you'd be into, keep reading.
What Makes Tavern League Cool? We all use slack to communicate which makes it feel much more like a small community (or dare I say, society) rather than just people silently blasting through rounds on the PS4. We are open to course suggestions from our members and LOVE running tournaments based on suggestions of the group. As of right now, we only use TGCTours approved courses, as there is not much of an interest to participate in the wacky side of TGC. We're a good group of guys, and want to add more to the mix. We also have a course design thread for those that enjoy the designer
How do I join? It's a public society on PS4, so you can simply just join on the PS4. However, we'd also love for you to join the conversation in Slack. To do that, download the APP slack and DM me your email address and I'll get you added to Slack in no time.
We have made the switch to PGA2k21 and are recruiting new members. Currently the plan is that we will be using TGCTours settings(Masters). Lots of conversation going in chat daily about how to get better at the game so if you're looking to improve together this is a good place to start.
Thanks for reading! Really look forward to seeing some new faces in the Tavern League!

The Tavern League is ready to go on 2k21. Come join in on the group conversation about how to figure this new game out! Currently we are holding a series of one-round daily exhibition events as HB works out the kinks. News on Season 1 will be coming out soon.

Hey Wadey, definitely nothing personal. We are starting our first major and wanted to make sure that our roster consisted of those that are a part of Slack as it's the major premise of our group. We try to put out there in our recruitment threads and on the society main page that Slack is a major part of our society. I do know our main admin put up a warning for people that a ban was coming for anyone who isn't in Slack. We all have a lot of fun in Slack and have put together a good group that gets along well, it's hard to get behind a stranger/non-Slack participant winning the big event. So I do apologize if it came off as an unreasonable ban. Know you're a big part of the TGC community so not trying to make any enemies!
With that being said, if you or anyone else is interested in downloading Slack(a chat app similar to discord) we are more than happy to have you. We have recaps of every event, many channels to discuss different aspects of the game, and just have a lot of fun goofing around. Sorry again for any confusion, more than happy to have you back if you're interested.
Hi peanut, we try to make sure the information is out there (on our main society page, in all recruitment posts) but we are a society that is based off using the chat app Slack so that we can communicate with one another throughout the season. It makes things a lot more fun and personal to be able to discuss courses, share advice, and have some good-natured trash talk during the week.
With that being said I messaged you in PS messages on 2/18 explaining that too, but you ignored the request to join Slack.
We're more than happy to have new members, we do a lot of fun stuff...contests, weekly recaps, match play tournaments, and lots of different channels for different topics. We just ask that our members have Slack. It's not for everyone but it is a lot of fun for those that are looking for something like this.
