U.S. Open (Week 41) Qualifying Tournaments (Weeks 38,39,40)
- The U.S. Open field will consist of all PGA Tour players plus those who qualify via three upcoming Qualifying Tournaments. - The Top 2 (tiebreakers in effect) from each Qualifying Tournament will also be included in the field. When: Weeks 38, 39, 40 Where: TGCTours (Special Events) Courses: Check PGA Tour schedule to see assigned courses Notes: - Master Clubs required all 4 rounds to be eligible - If you already qualified you are not eligible to take up a spot in top 2 of following qualifying events - Beginners Club Tour members not eligible - Everyone will be auto-registered - Participation is optional Tiebreakers: Best R4, R3, R2, R1, H18 countback from R4 The Open Championship (Week 45)Qualifying Tournament (Week 44)
- There will also be one qualifying tournament for The Open Championship held on Week 44.
- Top 5 from this event (tiebreakers in effect) will be in The Open field. Hi Doyley.
Fyi the thread regarding wgc and majors in the PGA sub heading says top 10 from each qualifier will go through for the us open and top 25 for the open.

Why are there only 2 spots available? seems a bit low. Especially with 850+ players in the field at the moment

I'm not willing to go much higher than 160 when the cut is 65. the field will be hovering around that number after the 6 qualifiers are added. |

I'm not willing to go much higher than 160 when the cut is 65. the field will be hovering around that number after the 6 qualifiers are added. The 'cut' can really be whatever we want it to be, 65 is just to mimic the PGA, but we all know TGCT is not the PGA, so there should be some flexibility to match that of the tours. If you topped up PGA to 155, then half the field would closer to 75... why not make the cut based on participation?? 50% cut-lines ?? No need to respond, but maybe something to consider for next season on the new game.. |

We're moving on to Event #2 held at White Pepper Dunes.

Congrats to Matt Owczarzak and James Dietrich for securing the first two qualifying spots for the upcoming US Open. Daxon Blaze won the event but after some discussion with me, has decided to pass on the qualifying spot.
We're moving on to Event #2 held at White Pepper Dunes.

Seems the 2nd event is not quite right - leaderboard not showing anyone. Also, I put in a ticket for last week's CC boards - doesn't appear they've completely finalized - have some players that were FT up a flight still showing on the old flight board, despite their profile showing the new tour.. |
