Rd 3: 58 (-13) Rd 4: 60 (-11) F -47 In round 3, I knew I needed a -12 to bank some points for the madness crew. Started off only -3 after the front and pretty much accepted defeat... but then got hot on the back to card one eagle and 8 birdies for a 26 (-10) back nine! Sorry, sandsaver01 great round you had as well. Crap! That phantom putt cost me a tie! I was afraid that might happen.

Round 4: didn't start off the best -4 after 10 stupid bogie again, managed to get things back on track on the back 9, really wish I had played a couple of shots better, but still a pretty decent score for Mike Ricks to chase down.
R4: -10

I made a few birdies but a treble and a single bogie ruined my round really, ah well on to next week.

Dear all,
We are sorry for having to post this, but may we remind everyone that you are causing the press office, the admins and all other Dirtbags to enjoy this league a lot less if you don't play your first two rounds by Wednesday night at the latest.

Not a huge fan of the course but we're all in the same boat (just sometimes it feels like one big poop deck)
Round 1: -7 Round ²: -11
I don't know if I'm supposed to tag or not tag since the game has changed so I'll just leave this here and the sheriffs can fix it.

Rd 4 +2
What can I say other than sh!t. Can't say that I enjoyed this course, not that it was a bad course, but with so many perfect/slow swings it got frustrating . A visit to Crinkley Bottom is on the cards to meet Mr Blobby and his side kick Noel Edmonds again. Not looking much better in the F'ers after 3 rds with same tempo problems .

Round 2 Was nearly a great round. Clean front with an iggle on 2 courtesy of a chip in and 4 chirps. Inward was all gangbusters with chirps on 5 holes. On 18 a nice drive left me 120 out, hit a smooth club that the slop took just right enough to find the back fringe, which lead to the water. Did get up and down for the Humph. -10. Onward to one of the matches I dread the most. The gal who has my number (but don't tell Mrs. V), can't beat her if she let me, Carol inflames47 . Should just mail this one in. OK Girlie gurl, let's rumble! Well this should be interesting ! We always have fun competing against each other, perhaps we should be a team instead !! Good luck I am not going to say you need it, more like I need it. You REALLY think I will fall for this? You beat me ALL the time, and it hurts so good I never talk much about it. I'm willing to go live with you, just to prove my point. I'm working this week but would play you my Saturday if you want.

I’d like to blame the problem with my arm and a little loss of feeling in my thumb/finger but to be brutally honest I was hitting p/p fine and it was purely down to my crap play. The party is wilder at the hell end of the league. I’ve got a Special Brew waiting for you.

Dirtbags Season 9 Week 2 Mid-Week Report Back on the beat after a mid week getaway chasing Mrs. V around strange coffee tables. Caught her once! As the Dirtbag admins are being treated for heavy bruising on their backs (something about balance...but if you hit folks that hard won't they tip over?), the league finds themselves on the groomed grounds of Helmsley Golf Links. The course is on a plot of land the designer inherited from his dear aunt Leona, a philanthropist with a heart of gold. Our first match features two team name holdovers from season 8, Kopplabunz (sorry, saw a speck of something there at the end of the bunz) and Sons of Pitches. Although their rosters changed, Captains Kevin E up mup kupen nup and Peter bogeyman are no strangers and were ready for battle. The Pitches were spot on in pairs, taking 3 of 4 in dominant fashion. Sam Riotous , the newest Bag of Dirt who brought his own Mongolian group of caddies that double as aspiring K-pop stars, lead the way although both Peter and Chuck were not far behind. The Bunz Boys, paced by their Captain but getting their only points from Andrew zorbacles and Martin mart280 , will need to find some answers to overcome the 6-2 deficit. Next up is the match featuring Kako against Tolle Guttis, another Frans fransslabak moniker to show us how un-Latin we are. The Gutty Guys had a solid start, most importantly being a sober and fully clothed Mark L IGolfBad chipping in with a solid -17 that matched the Captains' total. Jeff hoosierhoops24 paced the group to a 6-2 lead, the only game lost to Captain Ashton Ashton Fox and Randy RHMIII turning in a solid -19 for a win. As we were going to press the only incomplete match is Cupid Stunts (careful) taking on Complete and Putter Madness (somewhere Charles Nelson-Reilly is even groaning at that one). With one round left to play from David portred CPM has 3 games in hand with the fourth a formality. The Stunts, paced by Johnny Bravo, err, Bollocks evilgrin72 , are at a severe disadvantage as customs confiscated their clubs and they were forced to complete with plastic kiddie klubs. So if you consider that, they did quite well. CPM are lead by the Croc Crazy Croc and Hunter Hunter B show, both on -23 for two rounds! The final match features the table leaders A Round of ALES versus The Foregasms. ALES were led by the two who needed support in pairs last week, Art Art Vandelay and Les lessangster , at -19 each. But there was no denying the Gasms of Fore here as they won them close and they won one running away. Bill billybudd0623 , still wearing that big metal cup around his neck, shot a total -22 to pace the Gasm-atics who take a big 6-2 lead into singles play. On the weekend these are some key singles matches to watch: Andrew zorbacles vs Sam Riotous - Can you say David vs Goliath? Who thought this could be good? Wes jwtexan vs Mark IGolfBad - Wes might still be waiting for Jeff to join him for a BBC pairs game that never was. Johnny evilgrin72 vs Marc Crazy Croc - Now THIS match could run out of red figures! Art Art Vandelay vs Carol inflames47 - Cause she always beats Art. (a challenge has been issued for a live duel, check these pages to see if it happens)Tune in on the weekend for the conclusion of week 2 of Dirtbags Season 9.
