Round 2 Was nearly a great round. Clean front with an iggle on 2 courtesy of a chip in and 4 chirps. Inward was all gangbusters with chirps on 5 holes. On 18 a nice drive left me 120 out, hit a smooth club that the slop took just right enough to find the back fringe, which lead to the water. Did get up and down for the Humph. -10. Onward to one of the matches I dread the most. The gal who has my number (but don't tell Mrs. V), can't beat her if she let me, Carol inflames47. Should just mail this one in. OK Girlie gurl, let's rumble! |

I normally don't play two rounds in a row, but I was hitting it so cleanly, I jumped into round 3. Started off nicely after a par on 1 by chipping in for eagle on 2 after hitting a max fade around the trees (pro clubs kill you on this hole.) It may have been the best 2nd/3rd shot combo I ever played. After that, IGolfBad popped up put of nowhere into the round and my connection promptly crashed. I debated whether or not to reboot and start again, ultimately decided to do so. With Mark's ghost popping back up as soon as I restarted, although now several holes ahead of me, I simply had to not let his ball flights through my line of vision distract me. Ball striking stayed good, putting was on and off. Hit a few nice ones, but also had a few Brazilians. Much more consistent though, going in and out in the same number of strokes. R3 : -11 (60) |

Three competitive rounds on this course now and I'm actually enjoying it. First time I played it in practice I was very ambivalent about it. I guess it helps when you're striking the ball well and the tempo demons are plaguing someone else for a change  Like you Johnny evilgrin72 I am finding the back 9 very generous indeed. In my 3 rounds so far I've gone -7 -7 -8. Can't complain about those numbers. Andrew zorbacles you'll need a good score to beat me but it's not beyond you. Good luck (but not too much  ) GREG

1st off sorry guys (Complete and Putter Madness) blew pretty damn good round with a very slow on the 18th double boggie, the rest of the round pretty damn good sitting at -10 after 17, anyway better 2nd round I hope.

This course is very testing for pro clubs, having said that thinking your way around this course helps a lot loving the challenge, on to my 2nd round seemed to be getting more slows than normal (it's me thou) and as a result another boggie this time on 4, fought through it thou for pretty good round.

I was too busy playing my first two rounds and did not get the chance to follow SAM's stream. BTW, since sam is a citizen and I support Real Madrid, I can't interact with him in a friendly manner yet... On to what really matters... Did I suck again? a bit, maybe... two strange rounds (for me at least) where the quality of my game was much worst than my actual scores. (Good luck? maybe, but as a "competitive athlete" I can only mention luck if it's been bad...) It's been strange, I felt like my game was not at its best, but the balls kept landing in the good spots, and added to that, I managed to sink a few putts, so I'll consider my rounds a good effort Round 1: -8 Round 2: -11 honeybadger64 |

3rd round -10
And there it is there, a round that equalled my score for the first two rounds. I started off on target by bagging birdies on every odd numbered hole including a flop hole out from the heavy rough on the 7th, I even popped in another birdie on the next hole. Sitting at 5 under going on to the 11th where I hit my approach on the par 5 into the heavy rough, so another flop shot which rolled kindly in to the hole for eagle. Another two holes and another two birdies before a three putt bogey on 14 had me back down to 8 under. A couple of birdies on 16 and 18 finished off a more satisfactory round, and although I thought I could've went lower I've just got to be happy with what I got.
