I shot 54 under last week & thought I played okay & I believe the leader is currently 70 some under. So anybody shooting 50 some under shouldn't get discourage. I got lucky this week I happen to play great today. It's difficult to shoot real low scores.

See the problem people are failing to realize is if you play on the PS4 or come here and see the leader had shot -71 and you have a few pars your first few holes there is almost no way you can win the tournament and it's very deflating.
I am glad starting next month we will be playing some more realistic courses than the ones the past few weeks as this is supposed to be the PGA Tour.
The next question is am I having fun. I enjoy the tour and trying to birdie every hole is the goal but to do it usually does not happen which normally is the case. Hopefully these past 2 weeks will be the end of this madness.

I can tell you now -- this isn't happening at Bison Run next week.

Congrats on the win DLW. That's just terrific play by you. Very good scores on PC so far. I was 6th of 8 with -57 (57-58-60-56). Ball squirts were a major issue again this week. Just every hole you know you have to birdie and that keeps the pressure up all four rounds. -60 seems to be the norm to win, unless conditions are firm and fast.
Even the Masters will probably have -60 or better as the winning score. Magnolia the best course I've played on this game but with calm winds, low scores are there to be had.

If I shoot -10 my 1st round the past 2 weeks I'm toast. Most other weeks if I shoot that I still have a fighting chance to possibly get a win.

No way 60 under at Magnolia. I don't think 50 under. something in the 40's for Magnolia. I've probably have played this course more than anybody. I know how to attack every pin and 44 under is currently my best. I've seen good players barely break par. Can't wait to play The Master's on this course. I will go out on a limb and declare myself the favorite.

Got off to an okay, but not spectacular start, by shooting 57 and 55 in the first two rounds. After that, I decided to take a break. Went to play some basketball and sprained my thumb. Considered withdrawing from the event, but I played through it closing out with 62 and 60 in my final two rounds. Ended up -54 for the tournament. Really disappointed with my showing this week. Hopefully my first two rounds will at least get me through to the weekend. I'm looking forward to playing some more difficult courses, as I find that I usually place better in those events because anybody can do well on a course like Hunter Meadows, but tougher courses actually create a skill gap.

I've never played this course and was hoping for a toughy...now I'm not really motivated to play it. A few 92% shots a round glitch and I'm already out of the tournament before it starts. I called my own shot. Hit the ball great and putted great, but got the 91-95% power about 7 times the first round which cost about 6 shots. Ball squirts cost another 3-4 shots. If someone's bored, watch how I aimed 2 clicks left of the pin on the par3 16, hit a perfect straight shot, and with no wind, wind up landing 28ft right of the hole. You just can't compete with this stuff happening. Completely discouraged. Never had either of these 2 issues prior to the Boreal patch. Now I just can't compete.

A Little Brook Manor comparison, WTF? Well, I was proud of my course until I just finishing reading this thread. Ouch.

Poor form to announce a winner this early. Some of haven't even played our 3rd and 4th rounds at Pellaway and to have people already declaring a winner for the next event is a bit premature. Obviously he put up some great #'s but there are at least 100 players yet to even tee off. I'll be happy to congratulate DLW1964 if he ends up being the winner, but that won't be known until over a week from today. Cheers!

Fred, I suppose I should have simply congratulated DLW for a terrific performance instead of a victory so soon. However, it will be extremely difficult for anyone to match -71 for 72 holes.
