This happens when laid down heavy rough touches laid down light rough, you need to keep a small gap between them, been like this in every game. It’s a pain but I switch the theme to desert, delete the heavy rough and then spline it around the light rough, adjust it so it’s barely touching and then paint around the outside where required. It’s very time consuming so the other option is just no light rough. The only thing with adding the fringe technique is that on the small greens that don’t have run offs, the fringe will take up most of the playable green area. It’s something I’ve done before, did 5-6 greens then hit a small green and deleted it all! Appreciate the insight! I think I'm ok with no first cut even though technically there is one IRL, aintnobodygottimeforthat.gif

I’d get more courses done and get less burnt out with RCRs!

Think I'm at a point where I might just spline the light rough in, so far it's only slight wavy in a couple spots and is not something a normal player is going to notice. In fact on a few holes it works ok just adding the secondary surface to the fairway splines so it auto generates. I played today IRL and the first cut in fact does continue up to and go around the runoff areas around the greens, where I thought it ended short.
I obviously have a lot of work to do in terms of fine tuning, but I will hopefully have a more polished test course to publish later this winter. Not going to go as far as paddy (kudos on that dedication), but we'll see what I can come up with. Who knows, might get 6 holes in and scrap the whole thing.

Another way is just delete any splined heavy rough and then if there’s bare areas that need filling in with the base texture just quickly do it with a heavy rough brush
