Anybody who wishes to see judges comments after being eliminated can either PM me or reply to this thread. No need to reach out to individual judges. Jeff, I'll try and get you your comments tonight. If you reviewed my course, could I see the notes? Thanks!

Yep didn't mean anything personally. Probably could have picked a better time than when someone just missed the cut after the grind of a contest. My bad. No worries Justin, I just really didn't know what it meant.. I was thinking 'red solo cup' honestly like 4 of us needed like 72 drinks .. scotch....jack… hmmm...

In full disclosure, I was one of the judges on Mulligan National, however I can assure you that none of the crap from WCoD played into my critique of the course (I'm not insinuating anybody is saying it did). In fact, out of respect for you as a designer and respect for the contest, I think I took the most amount of notes on your course from all of them that I judged. After all, the stuff from WCoD was never about you and me personally, it was about the decision, of which we each have a right to our own opinions. But as a person and a designer, I think you're a really nice guy and you keep getting better and better with your courses. I thought Mulligan National was your best design yet to be honest, and there was a lot to like about it. I would be more than happy to have Dan share my FULL notes with you, strictly in the hopes that some of my constructive comments could be used in your future projects, because I have no doubt that you are on the verge of a great course soon. I can totally understand if you feel a little contest burnout (my word, not yours) after this one, as you put in a lot of work on the last two contests. For me personally, I'm right there with you. I obviously had my heart a little too invested in WCoD, and then I'm helping to run and judge the Major contest, and I'm still working on my CC course (although I'll admit, I don't actually care where it finishes in a field of 80+ designers). Beyond that, I'm having a blast with this Backyard challenge because it's not a contest, it's just totally open-ended with only one rule, a 30 acre plot. I'll probably make another mini golf course or just mess around until the next game and take some time off of the tension of contests. Yup, all the notes from the judges would be great... after TGCTCCCDC20 - will likely create something without a time limit and really see what I can do. I typically try to design for realistic courses (like they could really exist) - but with the timing on the contests I feel I never have enough time to really put in all the details. Of course I am my worst critic as I never really think my courses are all that good - but then after I do a few plays looking for areas to fix, I start thinking, hmm maybe not so bad.. Anyway - MQ is now over 7800+ plays, was on CC Tour and MN is already over 1700+ plays - so regardless of contest results, I feel I (the community) has already won.. Thanks - I look forward to yours (and the other judges) notes..

It’s fine. I’m cool with 100 play average I get. Same thing here with this course. People roast me for making too difficult of courses. I lighten up a bit, now I’m roasted for too easy. Cool stuff. FYI it wasn’t finished so disqualify me from the next one.
Go play Cloy, and C.C. At La Jolla. Tell me why those weren’t even tour approved?? Look at some of the courses that are accepted and it’s a joke.
Nice website

FYI the wood planks are range markers laid flat backwards. The way to make believable water (with no heavy rough) (with shaved banks) is with the black city building on the last page-ish. And the way to make those “spring trees” is to closely flow the tree branch pattern with the white global plant + other colors you may want. The small fountain on holes 3 and 7 were a real fountain + the black city building+ small water fall in a circle. And the miniature trees on hole 10/18 used bushes + wood plank + trash can of any kind. The tiling was done with stair case+ city building. Also please stop using high falls for any type of waterfall, it looks terrible.

So is this where I interject that winter WAS a theme in the first two TGC games? “Was” sounds like past tense. Im talking current tense
