Having missed the cut at the Valspar Championship with -21 over the first two rounds (my best opening 2 rounds in a tourney so far, yet it's my only missed cut ), I've already made the trip out to The Golf Club at Hunter Meadows to get ready for next week's event. Got a practice round in this morning and I shot my best ever round with a 17-under 55! It looks like we might be in for another week of ridiculously low scores here.
Feeling thrilled with my practice round, I took the rest of the day off and went out on the town for the evening. I'll be back on the range tomorrow though, as I don't want to lose my touch from that practice round! If anyone else is already out here, I might see you out on the course or grabbing a brew in the clubhouse!

I haven't missed a cut and have put together some pretty decent tourneys, but I'm afraid for next week. Everyone seems to be going low, but I'm consistently shooting -11 or 12. Could be a rough one if I can't figure it out soon.

I've played this course a handful of times and have gone low. You have to pay attention to green slope and club roll-out on approach. Wind in the face is a good thing on this track.....Putter needs to be dialed in on this one too. what slope? there are no slopes on those greens! the grids barely move, and the speed of the greens is snail paced. this course is easier than little brook manor, and that is not an exaggeration. its easier due to the better hole routing.

I have practiced this course a number of times and the following is what i have shot. Please note that i am all for hard courses, i just want to make the most of the easier ones for now, and also i copied Rob Foysters idea for the scorecards Just hoping i can carry some of this over to the tourney itself.

Not managed to get any practice in yet! Hopefully 2 rounds tonight course really needs no practice, its pretty strait forward, hit the fairway, pin seek, putt a fairly strait putt. no tricky fairways, no slopes in the greens to really be concerned about, no bunkers really come into play. its 10-20% easier than pellaway.

I actually have to agree. I can honestly see the winner shooting somewhere around -70 for the tournament. It's certainly not impossible considering the scores we're seeing this week.

I played it for the first time yesterday and it is a very easy course. I hadn't touched the game in a week and still shot a -15. Went eagle, double eagle, on #9 and #10 to drop 5 shots in 2 holes lol. Probably could have touched -20, but that week of not playing was rough on the putter.

I think while the setup and layout is easier than this weeks I find the greens to be a bit more difficult than this weeks event. Easier in low winds but harder in higher winds imo.

Does wind have an impact on putts?!

Crossing over from the Euro this week and just had this for a practice round! Career low for me .... Doyley and Tim must be playing with one hand at the moment...

Not doing great at this course tbh. -15, -12, -10, -12 in practice so far. Not good enough to compete at the top with that.
There is a good 2 eagles out there in a good round and 14 birdies. I feel -16 is minimum per round to be T10 here
