Sounds like it they’re all streaming at the same time, we will just have to select a stream to watch then see the rest recorded.

I see that CrazyCanuck1985 is doing two streams tomorrow, for a total of over 10 hours. I am glad that more info is finally coming out about the game, but I don't have the time in the day to devote to one streamer that's going to be live for almost half the day, let alone another 5-10 streams that will be going on at the same time. Why they didn't do this in a more measured approach over the last few months is beyond me. What I think would have been a better way to build anticipation, while providing us will all the info we'd need: give each streamer a section to cover (for example, CrazyCanuck1985 could cover the course designer, others cover gameplay changes, career mode, societies, etc.) Do one of those each week, starting in late June/early July. We'd have a much clearer picture of how the game will play, look, feel...instead, we got 2 real-life courses announced each day for two weeks (many of which we already knew) as well as the weak announcements of the unplayable pros that will be in career mode. What we are getting is everyone virtually vomiting info all at once, two weeks before the game is released. And we'll have to weed through hours and hours of the streams to get the info we want. Just seems it could have been done a lot better, IMO.

My 4 wishes (3 looks cheap) that even Alladdin's genie cannot fulfil :
1) timeline 2) gimmies in match play 3) 9 cup positions per green 4) tee selection per round / per hole in tournaments.

To add to that, different tee position also ie you can have 4 different tee position for the black tees to mix it up even more

This is literally a standard practice across the industry. It's 100% 2K driven. That HB didn't do it for TGC19 was an indictment of their marketing ineptitude. The marketing for 2k21 is light years ahead of what HB did for tgc19 (which was next to nothing).
I didn't realize there was a "standard practice" for marketing in the gaming industry, one in which developers do nothing and let streamers pimp their product. I've seen other games with open betas, closed betas, demos, etc. so who knew.

I think the ones who do the marketing the best (in my mind, that would be San Diego Studios in their MLB: The Show marketing) do a combined effort, putting all these factors together to get the full story out to customers. San Diego Studios does closed alphas/betas, in-depth developer streams on gameplay, game modes, etc. They also leverage streamers, YouTubers, and other "Sony Partners" to push info out there about the game. The biggest difference with PGA 2K21 and MLB: The Show is that San Diego Studios puts out a schedule of when info will be released, and it's done in a measured approach. They put detailed info out in February and March, right up to release of their game. They use the months before release to get the hype train moving for their product. So far, 2K hasn't given any kind of plan or schedule for the in-depth info release, until the streamers started to say that they'd have info on August 6 - just 2 weeks from release. And now they're having their content partners stepping on each other's toes by streaming all at the same time, all at once. And people will say that San Diego Studios is a "bigger" developer...I don't think that's the case. The MLB: The Show team isn't very big, from what I can tell. Yet they are still out there providing info, hosting multiple streams, and more. I feel 2K/HB Studios could stand to learn a few things from how others market their product when it comes to PGA 2K21.

It is standard practice to engage directly with your customer community these days, yes. Viral marketing is a specific type of marketing, and I'm glad 2K is using it as part of their strategy this time around. It's very popular with the kids these days.
