Huge, monstrous insects nicknamed "murder hornets" were spotted in the US for the first time at the end of last year. Because that's exactly what we need. Officially called Asian giant hornets, the insects killed 41 people in the Chinese province of Shaanxi in the summer of 2013. They've also beheaded entire colonies of bees and even murdered mice. If you have a strong stomach, watch the youtube vid I linked. He allows himself to get stung...F'd up big time IMHO

Hopefully they're not as deadly as "jumpin" Jimmy Brunzell and B. Brian Blair were.

my feeling on the bugs are simple. Only dozens of people die from this bug every year which is not lethal at all. Secondly, if these bugs feed off up bee infestations, than this is a benefit to the thousands of Americans who are allergic to bees. In fact, an average of 100 Americans die every year from bee stings with thousands more hospitalized. Keeping people out of hospitals is critical for immunity and staying healthy. If these bugs assist with this, I am all for it.

Bees are way more important than you think, I do believe. You don't want bees to die out. They are the biggest source of pollination, and have many other benefits.
The benefit to thousands of people who are allergic to them would be far outweighed by the failure of the entire ecosystem of the planet if they were gone or greatly diminished.
