Designed by Dirtbags - Season Two - Week Ten
Welcome to the Season Finale and the last ever event of Designed by Dirtbags. It's had a good run and I'd like to thank all the designers and players that have come together to make this a success. This week will be The Designed By Dirtbags Open Championship, played over four rounds, and will attract double points in the season standings. It will take place at The Waterway Club which was Chuck Gunsaullus' Violinguy69 Major Design Contest entry. It will be available in the Society for your pixel golfing pleasure from Wednesday 8th July 2020 for 7 days. Enjoy. Here's a link to the Course thread.... tgctours.proboards.com/thread/22567/waterway-club-major-contest-entryAnd a link to jimgem's play through..... Once again, thank you all for making this such a pleasure to run. Ben Onwards!!!

Week 9 Final Leaderboard and Standings
Results in from Les' lessangster design of Seaton Carew which was very well received. We move on to the season finale at The Waterway Club with double points on offer and a few in the running for Season Champion though Ernie cappy1 has just forced himself into the box seat and is the man to beat if you want that title. Good luck! Onward!!

Got the whole day to myself today unexpectedly so decided to get stuck into this. First 2 rounds in the bag. Found Chuck's course to be beautifully presented and very enjoyable to play. Round 1 saw a few trees get in the way (I know, best to not hit it straight at 'em!) and with no first cut of rough saw a fair bit of scrambling. Round 2 saw a few lessons learned and couldn't honestly have played any better than I did. I've had 2 really low rounds over the last 2 days, one on Carol's Inglorious Basterds and the Round 2 here. I just wish I could transfer that form to where it really matters on the Tour

As we are nearing the finish line, I just wanted to share a few final thoughts as I may never speak with some of you again after this (not because I don't want to but rather because the final strand holding us together will be gone). The first thing is to keep in mind that not everyone is approaching the finish line the same. Some can't get to it fast enough but some people are dreading getting there because they aren't ready for this to end. However, it's time to shut the lights off and put the key under the mat. I have really enjoyed the courses and competition. Selfishly, the most fun has been loading up Celtic Wolf & lessangster ghosts and taking on the courses. It's has been fun to watch them play great rounds and also try to better their scores. Also, it's been fun to be a part of the ups and downs on the course as you can read them in text but to go through them with people halfway across the world was really special. There were times felt myself willing them to miss a putt after I just lipped one but more often than not I would feel the pain of a tough break. I would also grin when Les would stick one to 2 feet or when Pat would make a 30 footer look like a gimmie. I know this experience was unique to me because I was the last one to play (surprise surprise) but just know I enjoyed the experience immensely. To the designers, I admire what you are able to do in this game with bringing courses to life. Thank you for putting your work on display for us to gawk at or criticize. These have been some of my favorite courses to play and you should take pride in your work. I hope to come across them again in another society. To SkyBlueBen , your heart may no longer be in this (understandably) but this was a great idea and very well run. You were the man for the job seeing as how you had all 3 systems but I'm sure that presented it's own challenges. You had a lot of work on your plate but you always managed it well. Thanks for this opportunity and I wish you the best of luck in things you run in the future. To the rest of the Dirtbags, it's been fun. I've gotten to know some of you more than others and I've very much enjoyed that experience. If our paths never cross again, I wish you the best of luck in your digital and real life adventures. And with that, I'm getting the packaging tape ready for after I finish the week. I'll enjoy a few last spins around with Pat and Les, box it up, seal it, and put it on the memories shelf. Cheers everyone.

Tournament complete. All I can do is watch as it unfolds. For Round's 3 and 4 I couldn't hit a.... .....with a.... ...once again proving why I'll never be a contender. Fun while it lasted!! Good luck to everyone out there, especially the REAL contenders. May the best man win!! Onwards!!!

Felt like a lot of chancey shots out there especially from the tee. It’s a fun track that won’t getting boring the more you return. Sitting in the clubhouse at the halfway stage feeling like the big boys will be a few shots in front of me, Round 2 is there for the taking. I think I’m -22
