Sad this is over Played all 4 today, finished -44 give or take Thanks Ben for running this. Thanks all for playing. Maybe if we get the ability to run more than one Society in the new game it could be resurrected. We will have to see.

Just before this season ends here are a couple of photos of Silloth GC for SkyBlueBen I haven’t changed the colour of the heavy rough yet I’m thinking of making it a little more yellow to represent the sandy soil.

I'm done.... Tough course that Chucky... (to shape or not to shape)..... perfect for a major to finish the season. Proud to have played every single event... couldn't give a toss about my scores it was just a pleasure to play everybody's Dirtbag designer courses. Many thanks to SkyBlueBen for all the work behind the scenes. Would love something similar for PGA2K21.

I have to agree with SAM about the shot-shaping required on Waterway Chuck, especially if the wind is not your friend on the hole, the USE folks would be unhappy. I thought it was an excellent course overall though, and I especially thought that after I finished round 2. I do not normally post scorecards here but this one was necessary. My first round was meh (cost me two strokes when my dear wife demanded my attention while I was hitting my tee shot on a par 3), but never ever have I played like I did round two! Notice the TWO EAGLES IN A ROW on par fours on the front, and #18 was a foot away from being a third. After being at the bottom of the PS4 leaderboard I have gotten into contention. I think I will wait to play the last two rounds - just savor the moment for now.

Violinguy69 I gotta admit I was not a big fan of Waterway at first because I'm not a fan of courses that do not give me the option of using driver on several par 4 & 5 holes. But as I played the 4 rounds I found myself liking Waterway for just that reason. It ran well, was fun to play. SkyBlueBen thanks again for organizing and running DbD. Was fun while it lasted. If something along these lines comes along I will be looking to join so other PC gawlfers do not have to finish last. Onward!

I've fair enjoyed running it and it's a shame that a situation arose that took the gloss off everything. These things happen but you have to be positive and look forward. Perhaps 2K21 will give us more options. I'd be happy to run something but I'd need the ability to run more than one society per system. New game already pre ordered on PC and pre order for XB1 going in next week (I have some discount to use up).

Man round 3 and 4 must be tougher looking at your scores. As for doing something "along those lines" I concur, and am ready to bring up the rear on the PS4. The problem is that there is no Dirtbags so there can be no DbyD. I know Les is thinking of putting together a Designers Society, but I have seen a number of those (on PS4 at least) and they are poorly subscribed for the most part. Since I am tired of coming in last in many of the societies I am in now, I was trying to think of a way to set up a team society (in the new game) using CC-Pro players, like I assume Dirtbags was originally, and putting teams together on the basis of TGC World Golf ranking. These range from around 500 down to 4000 or so for active CC-Pro players. Using TGC Handicaps is a non-starter, they are meaningless at best and able to be manipulated. Anyway I am pondering how this could be worked out and whether I could get enough buy-in. I am already on PS4 and PC, and would be willing to spring for a used XBox to be able to start a Society on all platforms like DbyD.

My last round for Designed by Dirtbags is complete.
I scored -8 which was good enough for 2nd place on the PC leaderboard with a total score of -38.
I just couldn't run down my ghost playing partner Crazy Croc
I like to thank SkyBlueBen for running this great society and also to all the great course designers in the Dirtbag group, I have thoroughly enjoyed playing your courses.
All the best and stay safe.

Well the magic is gone . I find Waterway to really be a challenge if the wind is blowing (and I am not the only one, looking at the scores the good players posted for round 4). I did not enjoy it mostly because it takes the driver out of your hands just too many times, a few holes is OK but not that many. It is well done but not my cup of tea. Thanks go out to SkyBlueBen and all the designers who provided the courses we played in our unfortunately only two seasons. It was fun and I will miss it.

Played my final Designed by Dirtbags tournament and finished at -24. I didn't play every week, but I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of courses that were played over the 2 seasons of its existence. There are some wonderful/talented designers in this group and I hope you continue to hone your craft, especially with a new game on the way. A huge thank you to SkyBlueBen for coming up with this idea and running it every week. To be honest, I have no idea how much time and effort goes into something like this, but I have to believe it is considerable. I consider your efforts nothing short of heroic and thank you for the opportunity to showcase my own courses. I truly appreciate it. I have temporarily suspended my course design in anticipation of the new game. Once it is released I plan to continue my work on TPC Craig Ranch and go from there. I want to thank each and every member of the Dirtbags for allowing me to be a part of your society, no matter how short the time was. I am very saddened to see it end, especially in the manner that it did. For me personally it was never really about the golf or competition per se. To me the Dirtbags was about a group of people with one main common interest who truly cared about the friendships and relationships that were being built. In some respects it really was like a family and I am going to miss that. I am naturally the type of person who keeps to himself (Ok, call me a loner. It fits.), but I saw this as an opportunity to develop friendships with many different people from all walks of life and many different parts of this crazy, spinning planet that we live on. I actually enjoyed that and hope there will be more opportunities to continue those relationships in the future. Without the Dirtbags, I don't plan on continuing to play on TGCTours, even with the new game. I'm hoping that the My Player mode will allow me to play a true simulated PGA Tour season/career, which is my favorite way of playing pixel golf. With that being said, I will still be active on the forums from time to time, following Twitch streams, and be available for online play on the weekends if anyone is so inclined to invite me. I pray that God will richly bless each and every one of you and your families. To my friends and fellow Dirtbags, I bid adieu for now.
