This idea sounded so cool... I broke the quarantine my wife imposed on the course designer. So far, so good...
Anyways, I had an idea... I posted up a beta and will upload a course sketch, and was wondering if over the next week or so anybody would route some backcountry 9's or whatever... Like Sweetens? I would lay the new holes down and post them up as user named 9's or combine them if more than one can be found.
So the WIP is named OSHD (beta V1)... There are two sets of tees that are supposed to be same distance, which should help in creating new routes. I also could make minor modifications if something sick popped up.
Sorry for my abrupt departure...
Peace, Scott
P.S. No bunkers and 4 pins... Par 68 and like 5,600 yards, some pars to pad your score.

We route 18 or 9 ourselves based on what is already sitting here in the screen shot above?

What a way to come back. I think I need a cigarette after playing the beta.

Little confused on what you're asking. We route 18 or 9 ourselves based on what is already sitting here in the screen shot above? Sorry... That was a bit confusing. Think about it this way... You and a group of buddies get to rent the place out for the day, or I would just hook you up. After you played the regular order... You could go out to any random tee, pick a green and say 20 bucks lowest score to that pin. See if you can link a couple of those F it holes together? I will even clear a little brush if you find a new tee spot that just dominates a green from a new angle. Hope that helps? I dont really want to list the options I have found, sort of would be cooler if they were the users and the extra holes would note their finder. So if you find three and someone else finds six... I will combine them into a nine. Or heck, run a loop of par 3's around the perimeter... Oops, I slipped ;-)

You did all the crazy stuff with Blue Gums on Xbox? Sheesh...

You did all the crazy stuff with Blue Gums on Xbox? Sheesh... Yep, and probably played a role in the incompletion of that course... Sinking grass into bunker lips, so it does not float, is not really that therapeutic.

Got the computer working again... Getting close to done. I killed the live animal carousel for now... Figure out a better time to throw it in.

EDIT: OP updated with published participants In this time of stay-at-home orders, I lament that I do not have a backyard of my own. So in my daydreaming, I've been thinking about what I'd do if I had a very sizable property -- let's say 30 acres -- and I wanted to build something golf-related on it. What would I do? With that, and some encouragement from VctryLnSprts , I've decided to see if anyone else cares to join me in this creative effort. What would you build on 30 acres? If you'd like to contribute a design of your own, here is the constraint: All of your holes must fit on a square or rectangular plot of about 145,000 square yards (380 x 380 yards if it's square. The plot MUST be contiguous and any land within the plot that isn't used for golf features still counts towards the limit (no scattered golf holes where you count up separate little rectangles). Other than that, there are no restrictions whatsoever. It's totally up to you to build the most enjoyable golf experience that you can. You can build as many (well, up to 18 I suppose) or as few holes as you wish. It could just be short game oriented or maybe you can creatively include some longer holes. I'll also allow for a routing that isn't "realistic." In other words you could have a few teeing areas playing out to multiple greens if you wish. I've included a few conceptual pictures below to perhaps give you some ideas. If you decide to participate, let us know when you've published! holy cow! that's very cool.. i eard something about a week or two ago in twitch but i was thinking the challenge was already closed... unfortunately i returned to work just the 4 may... (but seems since tomorrow i'm unemployed again) and now i'm partecipating(very late even there) in another challenging contest. if i was knowing before, (with more time for the metric conversion too ) i could have been partecipating with the park outside my appartment...
