Firm Fast beast. Yes Steve2golf is proudly going to make another run at the last place title.
All kidding aside, I'm trying to put my money where my mouth is with my firm and fast philosophy here.
I have about 50 hours in and not even 1 hole is complete, this could very well be the last course I ever do, so I'm making my very best effort.
I will have 3 tees, middle tees being my preference, but the contest wants 7000 yards, so the back tees may be needed as the middle tees will fall short about 100-200 yards short. However with that said, I really do not believe with firm and fast that long iron approaches are needed or necessary, quite frankly I think it should be avoided completely. So I will give more thought to this as I get closer to publish, which is still significantly down the road.
Hole #1 Par 4, yardage yet to be determined, I have my choice of 3 tees, middle tees are my present favorite with a 9 iron approach. Tree is significantly guarding the fairway from the back tee.
Hole # 2 Another one depending on tee will range in difficulty.
Hole #3 Par 4, Difficult fairway, but easier than it looks.
Hole #4 Par 3
Hole #8 My favorite, 350 Yard par 4, I could play 18 of this hole no problem.
A Peak at 11.
Hole 15 Preview.
A peak at the 18th, I totally ripped this idea off from someone here.

Looks pretty good so far. Are you going for an Easter Island look with those big rocks?

Looks pretty good so far. Are you going for an Easter Island look with those big rocks? I just always drop that rock formation somewhere in my courses, I know it's not for everyone, but something just makes me do it and I keep out of play but in sight.
There is a play test 9 for anyone that's interested, WBUSO-3 Keep in mind while it's a playable 10 holes it's far from done at that point.
This course is killing me, about 60% done now after about 20 more hours this weekend. I'm jumping all around, sculpting, planting, holes, bunkers, just to maintain some focus.
Couple more pictures added to OP.

There is a play test Front 9 for anyone that's interested, WBUSO-3 Keep in mind while it's a playable front 9 as it's pretty much complete, the back nine is very much a work in progress, 15 and 16 are pretty much unplayable, but it you manage to get by them 17 and 18 are roughed in and playable but the greens have not been sculpted yet, not sure what you would be in for on those.
Feedback would be appreciated.
It is firm and fast, but it is mostly short holes, it looks like it will just squeak by the 7000 yards.
WBUSO-3 I birdied 7 of the first 8 and eagled 9 in the designer. It's playing the easy set-up though, I can stiffen it up quite a bit, if needed, But I doubt that is doable in any wind.
Here is a taste of things to come.

LOL, I should keep 15 as is, do you think the judges would appreciate the humor, I cannot believe you made par, is there even a green there? I might be thinking 16 though.
Thank you for the play and the feedback taste, always appreciated.

The second green 16 I think is a barrel of laughs as well. Good Times, -Mike
