Does anyone have trouble swinging the club in tgc tournaments?? In practice or any other matchmaking games its usually fine but most times in tgc tournaments the back swing on anything other than putting seems way off and find it ruins my tempo as don't know if the swing is going to play out or not...do tgc alter settings for tournaments somehow?? This is the only thing I can think of as controller works fine on menus and anywhere else...

This is the only thing I can think of as controller works fine on menus and anywhere else... I am pretty sure that is happening because of the recent heavy load of TGC tourny players due to lockdown. The HB servers are probably taxed more. Try taking one complete backswing before each shot, that seems to help me. If that backswing is not smooth take another one.

It’s been a bit hit and miss (no pun intended) this week. I can’t really justify my tour rounds of -4,-4,-12,-3 this week. No friggin idea.

I assume you mean the occasional swing studder.. That is usually attributed to either heavy planting in some cases, but likely more on the HB hamsters getting tired spinning the wheels to keep the servers running..
As sandsaver mentioned, taking a backswing and resetting usually does the trick.. I haven't experienced the studder 2 in a row when first doing the 'practice' one...
Nothing to do with tgctours settings..

I for one have played same one's one round with no problems at all then played the tournament and its very different When you play in 'practice' - i.e. "local match" - it is likely there is not as many people (if any) playing same time as you - when you're in society, it not only has all the live 'rivals' playing the same time - but the TGCTours societies also have multiple flights playing in the same society - so it is very possible server load is more taxed from within the society because of the amount of players / ghosts/ etc.. As an 'owner' of a society - you can change things like wind, weather, green firmness, etc - but you can't change the swing mechanic.. that is a product of the game itself and the load that is on the servers at the time you play. Network connection speed could also play a part - and if your controller is wireless or plugged in. Sometimes the affect is also present on LIDAR courses as those are much larger files typically..

I'm still confused as how the servers can affect the swing.
The game is local. It's not sending swing data in real time to the server.
If this was the case there would be no way to play offline

If this was the case there would be no way to play offline I think it does - otherwise you wouldn't be able to use ghosts/rivals - it has to be uploading the swings.. But who knows - I am not the developer... all of my previous comments are 'in my opinion'... Nobody really knows for sure what causes the choppy lag at times with the swing..

It does upload swing data. Or we wouldn't get API. But it would upload it after its finished. It wouldn't be uploading it while your swinging it
