I've been using a Steerseries Duo (xbox like) controller for the last several months. I've designed whole courses and done lots of golf with no problem. It's been a couple weeks since playing and I logged in to do some designing and my controller is all over the place. The buttons are wrong. The D pad partially works. the triggers don't zoom. It's not usable. I've tried every configuration and even tried some custom mapping but its a mess. No idea why this would happen when it was running so well. I even uninstalled the controller drivers and reset everything in Steam. No luck. I've ordered a new Xbox One controller in hopes that gets me going again, but if this was a Steam or TGC2019 update/change I'm super not impressed! Any suggestions would be welcome to get me back and running. Thanks - Jerry

Thanks - Jerry Jerry, may or may not be related to your problem, but occasionally my PS4 controller does the same thing on Steam, some of the sticks/buttons work others don't. I have to leave the game, recheck the "controller configuration', and then go back into the game and that fixes it. It seems random but it has occurred several times. Also I am using a wired controller, don't know if that helps or hurts.

Thanks for the suggestion Sandsavor01, but that didn't work this time. BUT! Good news is that I found a fix. I went into my TGC directory (...SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA TOUR) and backed up that entire folder (just in case my experimenting didn't work) I then deleted that entire folder I then ran Steam and the option to check the integrity of the TGC2019 files Once this ran it said I was missing components and reinstalled a few things. I then ran the game and everything worked - I didn't even lose my setup or unpublished courses So I hope if anyone else has this problem then you can benefit from the 10 hours I spent over the last several days trying to troubleshoot this.
